Annoyed. The leech of a best friend interfered with the Gabe and Melanie story. I enjoyed the first book about Gabe and Melanie. The other sole regret books are better.

I've really enjoyed this series, but I almost did not like this book. The Nikki situation was really hard for me to get past. She was just too much for me to take, even with all of her problems and Melanie was a huge enabler and just made it easier for her not to get past them. The rest of the story of Gabe and Melanie was good however and that was the only save for me.

I love the Sole Regret series and all the band members so I couldn’t possibly pick a favorite but Gabe and Melanie definitely top my list. I loved the fact that this book took them away from the tour and we were able to get a bit of “real” life mixed in. I love these two together and am looking forward to their third book.

Melanie is meeting up with Gabe "Force" Banner for their weekend getaway with some unexpected baggage. She wouldn't blame him for leaving her at the airport. Gabe has plenty of plans for his woman and once they get alone their vacation is back on track. Except sometimes life doesn't go as planned. I have enjoyed everything of Olivia's that I have read. And this is no exception. I enjoy the members of Sole Regret and their many adventures. It's sexy, funny, filled with drama and tears. What more could you ask for?

Love this series and cannot wait for the rest! With that said i agree with the other readers Nikki is annoying and I wish Melanie would put her in her place; although i understand where she is coming from.  Besides Nikki i enjoyed their story, I think Game and Melanie are good for each other and I enjoy all of Gabes sexual toy ideas.

The guys of Sole Regret are some very interesting characters. Olivia Cunning writes so well that you don't have to cringe through any crappy editing or choppy story development. Her stories make me feel like she's a chick I'd like to party in Vegas with, definitely rock out on the first row of a metal concert with. I love Gabe and Melanie's story. I thought I'd be aggravated that the stories were short because there is a definite buy in to the characters; I feel this series is definitely worthy of a novel per couple. But she does short stories so well that it makes this series one of my favorite quick and dirty reads. Can't wait for more nights with the Sole Regret guys and their ladies!

So, all the members of Sole Regret have had their book. How excited were we to get back to Gabe and Melanie? Autumn: Well, you know that Gabe is my favorite, so I was pretty damn excited. Andrea: Me too! I was anxious to see his latest invention. Autumn: Definitely. Dr. Kink E. Inventor. The glove! Andrea: Indeed. And I have to say, he exceeded my expectations. And here's the thing, your husband is very smart and mine is a good builder, so I'm thinking that between them, we can make this (meaning, the glove) happen. Autumn: Oh yes!!! We'll have to set hard limits though. No duct tape. Andrea: lmao Word. That could get sticky. Did your feelings about Gabe or Melanie change from their first to second book? Autumn: I love love love Gabe even more and I actually liked Melanie more in this one. She's a lot sassier in this one. I liked it a lot. She reminded me of Myrna a bit. Andrea: Exactly! She reminded me of Myrna too! She strong and very matter of fact. I think I love Gabe even more now. I had forgotten how much I adored Force. Autumn: I would just like to get my hands on the hawk and trim it down a bit. Andrea: Yeah, I don't dig Mohawks, but could make an exception for him. Autumn: I appreciate his uh...size. And I'm not talking about his hawk or his feet. Andrea: Obviously. I mean, who wouldn't? What do you think about Gabe's inventions? Which one was your favorite? Autumn: I think I'd like to try his glove the most, but am curious about the sleeve. The funniest thing about is reading Gabe together is how we literally try to visualize what it's like. We dissect it and try to figure out how to make it real. The beads with the rotating marble was nice too. Rear door FTW! Andrea: lol I like how we both had our hands up, faces scrunched in concentration, trying to figure it out. I don't think I could pick. I WANT IT ALLLLLL!!! Autumn: We get serious about this. Gabe's inventions are no joke. Andrea: There's no laughing in kink. Autumn: Truth. How do you feel about the way Gabe and Melanie's relationship progressed? Andrea: I was very happy. It's so hard to remember that they've actually only known each other, what, a week? I thought it was nice that OC showed their insecurity about how fast they're moving. But yeah, very pleased. Autumn: Me too. It made it more realistic. I almost forgot that Gabe has insecurities. Melanie was so sweet and accepting. Favorite moment between them? Andrea: Well....I really loved the beginning, with their video chat. And all their steamy moments for sure. I loved the end, though, when Melanie puts their relationship first. Autumn: Yes!! I loved the beginning and I also loved when they see each other again. It was so sweet. They were both a bit nervous. I loved when she was watching him at the concert and when he took her home too. The end was great! Andrea: Yes. The concert was great. Autumn: And the shower after the concert felt very intimate. We gotta talk about the two people we despise, Lindsey and Nikki. Autumn: Urgh. Yes. I want to cunt punt them both. Andrea: Hard. With steel toe boots. They are epic cockblockers. Do you think Nikki is sincere? Or Lindsay? Which one do you hate worse? Autumn: I hate Nikki more right now because I think her motives aren't good. She's manipulative and conniving. I have a theory about Lindsey too. They're both liars. Period. I'm sure we will butcher Lindsey more in Owen's book. Unfortunately, I don't think we've seen the last of Nikki either. Andrea: They are. I'm definitely more angry at Nikki. I can't imagine being that selfish and manipulative. Do you think we're supposed to believe what we've told about them, or are we judgmental bitches? Autumn: I don't think there is any way to redeem either one of them. I have no sympathy or compassion for either girl. I absolutely loathe the way that Nikki repeatedly tried to interfere in Mel and Gabe's relationship. Clearly she has issues and I know it was hard for Melanie, but I was happy to see that Melanie stood her ground. Andrea: Me too. I was incredibly frustrated over this part of the story. It's good b/c it made me feel, but yeah, so frustrating that I wanted to punch something. Autumn: Definitely. I loved how Shade confronted Melanie about it. He's an observant guy. Andrea: He is. You know how much I love Shade and his abrasive personality. I think he and Melanie could be good friends. Autumn: Agree! I think they'll have a mutual respect for each other as they get to know each other better. What are your thoughts on Adam? Andrea: Adam. You know I think he's sexy, but such a Debbie Downer. I actually am very excited for his book. Madison, on the other hand, has me worried. Autumn: Right! She seemed so insecure in this book. I feel like I almost need to go back and reread their first book before their next one comes out. I don't remember being that way. Adam has a lot of issues. He's my least favorite but I admit that I'm interested to see where his story is headed. Andrea: Sex club in New Orleans. Autumn: I'm really liking the way OC is structuring the rest of the series. It seems like the rest of the books will all be in the same time sequence as Gabe and Mel's weekend. Sounds like a lot went down in that one weekend!!! Andrea: It does! I really think she's going in a great direction. I'm excited. How would you rank the members of Sole Regret? Autumn: Gabe, Kellen, Owen, Shade, Adam Andrea: Well, my feelings have changed. I forgot how much I loved Gabe, but won't try to take your man. Shade, Gabe... I'm torn between Owen and Kellan, so they share a spot. Owen is hilarious and sweet, but Kellan likes pie. Poor Adam. Hopefully his book will raise his status. Autumn: Poor Adam. Gabe is just....umph Tell Me in five words. Andrea: Anticipation. Sexy. Kinky. Funny. FRUSTRATING. Autumn: Hot. Inventive. Infuriating. Flirty. Anxious. Andrea: Good job. *fist bump* Autumn: *bump* Autumn's favorite quotes: ~He hadn't seen her in five days and five long, lonely, cock-in-a-permanent-semi-rigid-state nights.-Loc 93 ~"Does she bust your balls like this?" Shade asked. "She's more likely to lick them than bust them, but I'm not as stupid as you are."-Loc 1138 ~"Gabriel Banner, I want to eat you whole. Trust me, I can handle being with you for extended periods of time."-Loc 2468 ~"Gabriel Banner in glasses?" she said, touching her fingertips to her chest. "Be still my quivering loins."-Loc 3763 ~"I promise to wake you every morning with an orgasm and a smile."-Loc 3791

At some point I stated to judge Melanie, but she was just a little uptight. Nikki is on my nerves and I sort of still don't believe her. Though, the others fighter beating the guy up might have been the proof that that the guy is bad...but I wouldn't be surprised to see if she is lying! Love Gabe and his toys! Can't WAIT for Adam next in Tease Me

As a fan of Ms. Cunning's other rock star series of books I was immediately drawn to this series and taken on a rollercoaster ride of differing degrees of satisfaction throughout each of the installments so far. This book left me equally torn as there were some great moments between the main characters and their crackling chemistry, with other moments leaving me irritated, mainly concerning the secondary characters of Lindsey and Nikki. This story reunites Gabe and Melanie for a weekend of sexual delights and to see if their initial attraction can become something longer lasting. After a rocky start due to Melanie's friend Nikki and her constant neediness, the two head off to the countryside to indulge in numerous erotic encounters and a sharing of intense emotions. There's a nice balance of steamy interludes and heartfelt talks during this section of the story as we learn about Gabe's sole regret which is truly heartbreaking and rears its ugly head when an accident befalls his beloved dog. We get to see the non-famous side of Gabe which is just as charming and sexy as his on-stage persona. We see a loving man happy to be seen for who he truly is inside as opposed to what he does for a living. We also get to meet his parents who are endearing and who further show his average Joe personality with their typical parental meddling ways. These moments of laid back happiness and scorching sexuality come grinding to a halt courtesy of the increasingly annoying Nikki who has once again been hurt and needs Melanie to make everything better. Her issues and neediness cause the story to veer off into over-the-top misunderstandings and ruin the happy vibe the story had going. Ultimately this speed bump brings them closer together in a conclusion leaning towards happiness that will change the band even more in future installments. I thoroughly enjoyed Gabe and Melanie together and their time in the countryside was both sweet and super sexy. Gabe is immensely hot, charming, and incredibly caring towards those he cares about. He wants nothing more than Melanie and knows she's "the one" and seeks to prove it to her using many of his sexually satisfying toys. Melanie left me conflicted in her dealings with Nikki. Melanie's extremely caring and feels obligated to keep Nikki safe after all the horrors she endured as a child. Melanie's smart but dumb when it comes to being manipulated by Nikki. She lets herself be walked all over and almost ruins her relationship with Gabe because of Nikki's machinations. In her interactions with Nikki she shows herself to be weak-willed and it's when I'm the most irritated with her. When with Gabe she's carefree and playful and after everything Nikki puts her through she deserves every moment of happiness she can get. Unfortunately other women in this story are shown in equally poor light. Nikki is manipulative and cares only for herself and the attention she gleans for being flamboyant and I cringed every time she came on the scene. The equally grasping Lindsey returns again, clinging to Owen in hopes of convincing everyone that he's the father of her baby. She's just as annoying as Nikki and I wanted to scream when she came on the scene demanding attention with one rub of her large pregnant belly. I still enjoyed this story, and look forward to the next in the series as I love these rock stars, but hope to never see these two characters again! 3.5 STARS
