Olivia Cunning knows the rock star lifestyle and conveys it perfectly, both the highs and lows. Along with her Sinners on Tour series of full-length stories comes this short story series, One Night with Sole Regret. This is the second installment and a bit of a disappointment compared to the first. What could have been a highly emotional story dealing with heavy issues ends up being one sex scene after another. Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy steamy reads but not at the expense of character development. In Tempt Me, substance abuse counselor Madison has fallen hot and heavy for recovering addict/rock star Adam. Now while this seems a conflict of interest to me, it isn't a problem for her. And to find enjoyment in this story it's best not to think too deeply about this fact. Adam has completely changed Madison from her quiet studious self to a sex crazed nympho who looks forward to their rendezvous whenever Sole Regret's in town. At first this seems to be all they have binding them but she wants a commitment that she's scared to ask for for fear he'll leave. Realizing how important she is to his health makes her fight for something more serious and long-lasting. I admired her finally telling him her true feelings but wish she would've done her clinical job more wholeheartedly. Adam's path to total sobriety is perilous with the occasional slip that he's embarrassed to admit to Madison for fear of disappointing her. He wants to be sober for HER but has yet to realize it needs to be for HIM. I wish this issue had been dealt with more since it would've left a more powerful impression on me and gave the story a greater purpose. While Adam is totally sexy and great in bed, that seemed to be the be all end all to him as we never got to truly see into his soul. Tempt Me is a decadent treat of one sexual fantasy after another. If you're looking for something more then you'll be disappointed. I'm still invested in this series as I'm intrigued with the other members of the band and look forward to finding out more about them. This series isn't up to the standards of her Sinners on Tour series but it helps pass the time until another Sinners installment releases.

so I almost didn't read this one based on others reviews but I'm glad I continued with the order of the series. this wasn't as bad as others say. yes, anal, but that's their kink. not any different than the others with their orgy fests, no biggie there.. I did however not care for the abrupt ending. I started the series thinking each one was about one night with that member, but instead it's more of a serialized set that you have to keep reading to know what's next. I do love Olivia's writing. this is different than the sinners series but only in the sense that you have a smaller picture and not the whole story.

Everyone thinks she is the goody goody girl.  She likes to be the naughty girl with her long distance lover.

Great beginning of a story....where's the ending?? Disappointed! I feel like we got half the story and left with lots of questions!

Another wonderful story by Olivia Cunning. I love that we know that Madison is in love with Adam from the beginning. Most of us have never dated a rock star, but have been in a relationship where we didn't know how the other felt. It had me invested right from the start. They know each other well enough that they can sense when something is wrong but know not to push. So far the first two books show how two band members want to be in a "normal" relationship and still be rock stars at night. Really enjoyed the little insights we get from Melanie & Gabe from the first book. Just like the end of Try Me, I want to see where Adam & Madi's story goes & of course I want to know if they go to the sex club :) and yes the sex once again, is HOT!

When I finished this book my first thought was once again I was left feeling I had just read a half completed book, but when I read the authors note at the end of this book , that both couples from book one and two were going to each have another book lets just say I breathed in a sigh of relief, so now that I know this I will be eagerly awaiting for more books in this series :)
