This is book one out of five in the Hunted series. I always finish a book but seem to have difficulties when it comes to New Adult Romance. Of course, I thought it would be different with Ivy Smoak... No...apparently the genre is not for me. Temptation is full of drama, angst, lies, deceptions and betrayals. It also contains lots of hot sex and a cliff hanger! If you like these things in a book then this series is for you.

Although the story started out a little slow for me and Penny seemed to not be able to make her own choices most times. Her roommate Melissa was always putting thoughts in her mind and that seemed to get Penny going. But then again Penny was only 19 years old. So while waiting for her loser and maybe ex-boyfriend at the local coffee shop, she realizes that she is going to be late for class. When she goes to walk out the door a man nearly runs her over. He is the most handsome man she has ever seen. And when he looks at her, her whole body tingles. But it turns out that mister good-looking is her Comms professor. While Professor Hunter thinks Penny is a senior like the others in the class, Penny doesn't correct him. So that is one lie and it a big one. When they begin seeing each other in secret, she doesn't correct the lie. When she learns one of his secrets, she gets angry and leaves him and doesn't talk to him for aver a week. So why the double standard? And then there is Tyler, she says they are just friends, but can a boy and girl be just friends? After Penny learns Professor Hunter's secret, will she tell him hers? Will he be angry when he learns the truth? Can they survive the lies or will the flames consume them both? This one ends on one hell of a cliff-hanger and I can't wait to see what happens next. I noticed a few grammar error but not enough to distract from the story.

Austin had said he missed Penny but when she got back to school he never answered the two calls she had made to him. She also went to his favorite coffee shop and he never showed up. Penny goes to leave and starts to slip and a cute older guy went to help her and her coffee cup spilled all over her. Penny and she had to get to her first class of the semester. So the stranger gave her his sweater to cover the coffee stain. The stranger who gave his sweater to Penny was her Communications professor - her first class- He is Professor James Hunter. Tyler is one of Penny’s classmates and invites her to a frat party on Thursday. Penny had been dreaming about Professor Hunter.. Melissa talked Penny into going to the frat party so she could also go . Melissa and Penny are dorm mates. Tyler got too friendly and Penny toke off to find it was raining. Once again Professor Hunter came to the rescue with a jacket and umbrella and walker her back to the dorm. I liked this story . I hate cliffhanger though and of course this ends in one I know there will be more stories but i really like an ending to the story I don't want to have to wait. Some parts of this story seemed to be repetitive but also got past that. I liked the build up between Penny and James before giving into the attraction they felt and that was definitely was hot. I liked the ups and downs of this story including the one involving James and Penny. I recommend. I received an ARC of this story for an honest review.
