I loved this book! You're going to see the story broken down in many reviews, so I'm going to skip that and tell you why I enjoyed it. First of all, I love a bad boy with a heart of gold. Sure, Max gets into the occasional fight, drinks and chases tail--sometimes the wrong tail that gets him into trouble with a higher-up at the station--and we love him for it--but this hunky firefighter has a heart of pure gold. Second, the author has given us Kit, a young country singer who has fallen victim to the weight of fame and is now working to rebuild her image as well as her career. : POV: As with most NA books, this one is written in 1st person, and very well done. Each change in POV is clearly marked with the character's name, leaving the reader in no doubt as to whose head they're in. It's also written in "past tense" which I love. Sexual Tension: That Max definitely knows how to stoke a fire, thoroughly tend the flames and then leave Kit in a pile of smoldering embers. It burns up the page, builds to sizzling heights, and when these two finally get together and the smoke clears you will have wondered how your  reading device survived the experience. Thank the good Lord for a firefighter who knows what he's doing  :) One thing I loved about this book was, there's no annoying "drama" between the characters. They go into their affair eyes wide open and accept the unexpected consequences as adults. Luckily for them--and the reader--Ms. Covington has wrapped the story up very nicely with and ending that takes a grip on your heart and stays with you long after the story ends. Very well done, Robin! More, please.

This is a great book! I have not read a book by Robin Covington, that I did not love! Kit is a famous country sweetheart. She has had a rough time; she has spent some time in rehab because she went off the deep end with sex, and alcohol. Now she has to once again prove herself to her label. Kit is in the studio one night, when the building catches on fire. She is rescued from the fire by a sexy firefighter Max. Max is the love em and leave em kind of guy and avoids commitment at all costs. He is a big fan of Kit’s and cannot believe his luck when he rescues her from the building. From the moment Max and Kit met they felt the attraction. Kit also doesn't want a commitment because she needs to focus on her up and coming tour. They come up with the agreement that they will just enjoy the sex and keep love out of the equation. They learn to help one another and deal with their past relationships. This book is full of romance, humor and sexy firemen. I would love to read another book with the same characters in it. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

I fell in love the Max and Kit in Temptation from the very first page. Kit, American’s Country Music Superstar, is in a recording studio when it goes up in flames and Max is the firefighter that saves her. Their attraction immediately sparks and they agree to spend the three weeks prior to Kit’s tour together before going in separate directions. Oh how those plans go so differently…. I loved Kit’s quirks and idioms (some of which I have now stolen, like the hairy eyeball). I loved that Max, while looking like a shallow partying guy, was really mutli-layered and would not give up on Kit. Every girl should have a Max in her life, someone that can be her soft place to fall when everything goes awry.

This book had me from the first page! I love the fact that it started out with a flourish. Kit is a wonderful character who has a lot of responsibility on her. But she is still young and trying to navigate through life. Max is the perfect hero. Flawed but with so much to offer. Together, they figure out how good things can be when you have someone who truly loves you and is in "it" with you!! Wonderful story! And I love the way the story is told!!

Great story! It is well written and grabs the readers attention from the start with humor and suspense. The characters were very likable and easy to connect with.  The chemistry and banter between Kit and Max is wonderfully done. I can't wait to read more of this series.

This is the first book in the Nashville Nights series. I love the storyline for this story . . . Kit Landry has made a life for herself, escaping from being homeless and destitute when only 16 years old to become a celebrity singer, performing in packed arenas and recognised wherever she goes. Unfortunately for her though, the rock star lifestyle had consequences that necessitated a stint in rehab. A year later she’s keeping clean but her record label are wanting to put her into their dream pigeon hole, getting her to fit in with their image of her and her music, regardless of her opinions. Not only that but someone on the inside is working to undermine her efforts but she’s not sure who . . . .  Max Butler is a Nashville firefighter who rescues Kit when the recording studio she’s working in goes up in flames. He’s a love ‘em and leave ‘em guy, never committing to anyone and only having short term relationships after a traumatic earlier experience. The chemistry between the two is hot but there are so many secrets that their fire is likely to be extinguished before anything has a chance to catch light. They agree to a three week relationship, parting when Kit goes on tour. Will they last that long or will love lead them to a longer term commitment? Will their secrets split them before they really get started? The plot is great full of horrid journalists, double dealers selling them out, secrets and fears. There are twists and turns suddenly derailing their path to true love just when you least expect them. From the beginning, trapped in the bathroom, the reader is drawn into the story with the two main characters alternating sharing their thoughts and experiences. Personally would prefer less detailed sexual encounters, but apart from that really enjoyed the actual heart warming story and the fantastic writing style of this fantastic author. You may need your tissues at some points in the story…..I’m looking out for the next book in this series already!

If you've never read anything by Robin Covington, then Temptation is an excellent book to start with.  I mean, hot sexy firefighter, oh yeah.  Throw in a feisty little country singer, 3 weeks of what they think will be a no-attachment really good time, paparazzi and all that goes along with the music industry, and some really steamy sexy scenes and you are most definitely set for a treat.   Max Butler doesn't like being called a hero.  He doesn't do his job for recognition.  He does it because he can't see himself doing anything else.  Women.....well, he does them to, but not more than once.  He's definitely a no relationship type of guy and a past that has made him that way.   Kit Landry has had a rough time of it over the past couple of years.  She's a famous country singer, but she had to work really hard for it.  Her life has been anything but a bed of roses, especially with the things that have happened to her in the last year....then there are the secrets she's tried to keep hidden.   Having had one bad relationship, she doesn't want to get involved in anything but a fun time, but sometimes the heart wants what the heart wants.........even if it might wind up broken in the process.   I loved both Max and Kit's characters.  They were so personable and I connected with them and thoroughly enjoyed their story, captivated from beginning to end.  Robin Covington has managed to take a good story and make it into a really great (and very hot) romance.  I just love when an author can take two and mix them together so well, and Robin Covington definitely delivers a great story, mixed with the right amount of steam, fun, and drama.  If you are a contemporary romance fan, this is definitely one you'll want to pick up.

Temptation is the newest novel from author Robin Covington. Being a high Robin fan, I was so excited to read this story. Well, Robin delivered once again. This book was hot, sexy, and sweet all rolled into one exciting package. Country music star Kit Landry is still learning. She’s learning how to deal with the public, who she can trust, if she can stay clean and sober and if this is really how she wants her life to be. Not saying she isn’t grateful for all her fame and success, but things can get a little crazy now and then and just a tad overwhelming. Of course, all of this seems unimportant when she could very well be burned alive in the fire she was currently trapped in. Lucky for her, Max comes to the rescue. Literally. The firefighter that saved her life also turns out to be insanely sexy and handsome and when a scheduled PR event to celebrate Max’s heroics turns into a swoon worthy kiss, Kit knows this is exactly the kind of distraction she wants but can’t afford. Firefighter Max Butler had been a huge Kit Landry fan since she came onto the country music scene…and he had just pulled her from a fire. What were the odds? And after that kiss he just gave her at the PR event, there was no way he could get this girl out of his system. She may have told him that she didn’t have time for any kind of relationship, but she did have three weeks before her next tour. Perfect. He wasn’t interested in anything long term either, not after his heart was broken a few years ago. So, three weeks was just the right amount of time to spend with Kit….now, if he could just get her to see the smoking hot brilliance of his plan. It’s only fitting that the fire that brought Kit and Max together has ignited one between them. A fire that burns hot and isn’t going to be put out any time soon. And thank goodness for that because these to together are insanely hot! I believe in a previous review I had mentioned that Robin can write one hell of a sex scene. Well, I emphatically make that statement again. This book was HOT! But besides that, Max and Kit were amazing characters. Kit has been through a a lot in her short life and is determined to put it all in the past and rise above. She has, for the most part, but it wasn’t without a few stumbles. But no matter what those stumbles are, her talent outshines and outweighs the negative press and she is so thankful for that. Max is sex on a firefighter uniform clad stick. He’s also a hard worker, determined and loyal. Oh, and that boy can speak some dirty talk! Yum! But the thing I loved most about Max and Kit was that in the end, after enduring more that a few issues in the weeks they spend together, realize they have found something special in each other. Sure, they are both reluctant to admit it, but when they do? It’s magic. There weren’t many dull moments in this book, if any, and I loved that fast pace. From starting out with a burning building, to snakes in the music industry trying to take Kat down, to jealous firehouse members, this book had it all! Thank you, Robin, for giving us Max and Kit! I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us next.

The very first sentence of this book had me hooked. “I was going to die in a bathroom. Just like Elvis.” How can you not like a book that starts off like that? The first chapter has you hooked even more with Kit's struggle to survive. She's been through a lot in her short life and this could just be enough to break her. But then she's saved by an angel. A hot angel. Literally! I loved how Kit and Max made a deal to scratch the itch they both had. But it turns out, that was one hell of an itch! We follow their story as Max learns to love again and Kit learns to lean on someone. This book has your secrets. Your "vipers waiting to strike". And definitely plenty of schmexy! The characters in this book, just worked. I don't know how else to describe it. But I could easily picture them all hanging out together at Max's house with a bonfire and a beer. Slinging jokes and sarcastic one liners all over the place. They just worked. It made the book. I loved the ending! The truth comes out for everyone, including fans. It wasn't until that press conference that I understood why Kit always had to be caretaker. But I get it. The only thing I didn't like about the book was the timeframe. I didn't think 3 weeks was enough for what they went through. I know it did extend beyond that, but some of the press situations, made me wonder. I mean, I get it, it's fiction so the timeframe doesn't have to be realistic. It just made me wonder. Still a great book and I would still recommend it. *I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*

This book was hot and sweet! I loved that the main characters were kinda reversed in status from most other novels..just a normal guy with a rich and powerful woman. This book has a lot of powerful moments! And a lot of hot sweaty time with Max and Kit!  It will be a book I read again and again!

Kit is a country music star that needs to keep good girl image up or lose her career. Max is a sexy firefighter that isn’t looking for a relationship. When Max rescues Kit from a burning building and they keep meeting up at publicity event. They realize they have a burning chemistry for each other and decided to take advantage until Kit leaves for her tour. These two have a lot of past baggage to overcome and it is wonderful to see them break down the walls stacked up between them. Such a sweet and emotional read but oh so sexy. I loved it.

Some of the best things in life are the ones you don't see coming... This was my first Robin Covington read and I was convinced, she has a new fan. It was the country music artist theme that drew my attention to this book and convinced me to try it. I'm so glad that I did. I L¿¿VED it! There are many things that I loved...the sexy firefighter, Max, with his 'White Knight Syndrome'...the sexy firefighter, Max, that "If he ever gave up firefighting, he could do phone sex...the sexy firefighter, Max who is the recipient of 'badge-bunny adoration'...the sexy firefighter, Max who says, "I'm more than just a pretty face and a big d**k". Need I say more?

The first two-thirds/three-quarters of this novel was FANTASTIC. I loved both Kit and Max's characters--the dual first-person POV was a bit different, but I liked it. It worked here. Robin Covington did a great job of amping up the tension and drama--for a while there, I could have sworn the pages were turning themselves! There was a lot of humor mixed in with steamy sexy times--perfect :) Occasionally, I could even read out loud to my daughter some of the parts that made me make an audible noise while reading (laugh, snort, gasp--sometimes all three!) when she heard me and said, "What??" (Other scenes had to be heavily edited, though. Or just talked over in very vague terms--she's only fifteen, after all. Isn't that what the internet's for, anyway? ;)) Speaking of responsible parenting, Max's mother was awesome. She's not in it much, but the bits that she is (especially when Max is getting in trouble) she's stellar. The last part--don't get me wrong, it still earned a solid four stars--just didn't seem to be quite as tightly written as the beginning. It felt like the characters lost their focus a bit and didn't seem to quite have the same sense of purpose as they had earlier on. There was a fair amount of waffling (Kit especially) taking place, and the events here were a bit more predictable, with relatively quick and easy fixes.  But...the ending was cute--and did I mention I loved the characters?--making it an enjoyable read overall.  Rating: 4 stars / B+ I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

Kit Landry’s life went straight to hell at the ripe old age of 21. She is back after being in rehab and now is trying to get her career back on track. She has a lot of people depending on her and the record label wants her to jump through hoops and to follow their every word. She can’t and won’t let the press get anything bad on her because she is being a good girl. About to go back on the road in three weeks. While at the recording studio late one night, she is caught in a bathroom while the building is on fire. She tries to make it to the stairs but the door is locked. She is rescued and before she blacks out, she sees an angel. She must have died because no living soul is the good looking. Turns out that Max Butler is the firefighter that saved her life. And her PR people want to use it to their advantage to promote her upcoming tour. There is an attraction between Kit and Max, can they do the PR stuff without giving in to the feelings? With both of their past, can they learn to love again? Will her career be a problem for them if they decide to make a go of a relationship? There are people who want her to fail and will do what they can to see she does. What will Kit do when her secret is revealed? Another great story from the fabulous Robin Covington. If you love a great story with emotions to keep you glued to every word, then this one is for you. **Copy provided by the author in exchange for my honest review**

TEMPTATION by Robin Covington is an intense love story from beginning to end. I was immediately drawn to Nashville singer  Kit Landry and I felt like I was right there with her…and then enters firefighter Max Butler.  I was right there with both of them, throughout the entire book. Kit and Max struggled to get to know each other and to learn how to take care of one another and  trust themselves to love. Watching them get to this point kept me “glued” the each page. Both Kit and Max had a best friend …Jolene, a Martin guitar for Kit and Dean, a fellow firefighter for Max. Both friends kept them grounded. Don’t we all need/want that kind of friendship; not only with our best friend but also with the person we love? This is Kit and Max together and I breathed a sigh of relief and smiled when I finished the book. Then I started to read it again.  by CWLCL
