Overview

Tempted by the Pack by Anne Marsh

Once in a blue moon...

For Rafer Breaux, life in the Louisiana Bayou is harsh, violent-and deeply sensual. The Cajun werewolf lives for his Pack and he'll do whatever it takes to keep his brothers safe. The longer a wolf lives without a mate, the harder it becomes for that wolf to shift back. To remember that he is a man-and not a monster. And those mates can only be found during a blue moon. When a blue moon finally rises, Rafer will need every weapon in his sensual arsenal to tempt one special woman into his arms and the heart of the Pack.

The Pack hunts for mates

Fighting to keep her family farm, Lark Andrews isn't looking for love. Even if the very sexy Breaux brothers make her dream of hot bayou nights spent in their arms. When the blue moon leads Rafer to her door, however, Rafer has her rethinking her position on all work and no play. Now, the bayou nights are heating up as Rafer fights to convince her, one sensual touch at a time, to give love and passion a chance. But Rafer isn't a one wolf deal. Is there room in Lark's heart-and bed-for Rafer and his Pack?

Werewolves, vampires and multiple partner sex. If you don't like all that, don't read this. 18+ JS

As posted on The Smutty Kitty Reviewed by Michelle B 4 out of 5 Licks I was immediately drawn into the story of Rafer and Lark. With the vivid descriptions of the surroundings, to the color of the flowers, to the intense feelings, the author shows you what the characters are seeing and feeling. When I realized this was going to be a series I truly enjoyed the story more. You get to meet the Breaux bothers who are a pack of six. Although the two main characters are Rafer and Lark, the other five brothers play a prominent role, and all but Luc who is the eldest and the alpha of the pack need Lark. She is given the choice to pick one or pick all, and when she makes her choice I was instantly happy and sad. The brother named Dag is so close to the edge of never shifting back from wolf to human because he’s not found his bride, I had hoped Lark would choose all the brothers. The story is fast paced and there was never a part that I felt was repeated, but I think it should have been longer. The men are all werewolf shifters who know their mate by the light of the blue moon, but the woman is human. The author has the heroine jumping right into the arms and bed of not only one but most of the brothers within days of meeting. It worked and wasn’t a distraction from a good story, but a little more time or mystical intervention would’ve made it more :) The conflict or danger part of the story involved vampires. While lots of books have werewolf/vampire elements, usually they both have redeeming qualities. This book didn’t. The vampires were evil to the bone, and from the very small bit that was in the story, something like the boogie man. I really enjoyed the story and can’t wait to read the next one in the series, which is already out, so yay for me lol. I would definitely recommend this book to readers who want a light quick read, but really hope the next books have a little more of everything.

This is basically a gang bang book! Not at all a good read! The story line sounded good enough, southern drawls and sexy men! But they are BROTHERS and she has sex with them all! It was gross orgy between one girl and brothers, what a waste of a good plot

I get so bored by all these paranormal books which are nothing more than porn---and not even soft porn a that. This book had no real plot line, just one excuse after another to have another sex scene. No redeeming qualities, nor do the sex scenes offer any real additions to the story line or character development.  I would not waste my time or money on any of the other books in the series. Even "Free" is paying too much.

Rafer Breux knew it was her.  Lark Andrews, human, was a blue moon bride.  His or one of his brothers was the question.  When Lark was thrust into the world of wolf shifters, she knew she wanted Rafer but was she ready for the entire pack?  No matter what, it is her choice.  Accept them or not? Fantastic start to an amazing series.  Anne Marsh knows how to write an amazing shifter romance.  The Breux brothers are hard, sexy, built and will lay it all on the line for the chance at their mate.  I can't wait to read more!

102 pages. Different from other shifter. The vamp are trying to kill them and skin them, so they can be in the sun. Ok

I read some seriously, negative reviews here. Mostly around the "romantic" aspect of this story. I agree there is a lot of focus on sex. (Isn't that some of the reason you chose this book?)But that is what the story is about, the procreation of a species. It works for me, even the group aspect, because of my buying into the premise presented by the author. After all, it is a fantasy, there are no shifters or vampires in our real world, but to enjoy any fantasy that involves other human hybrid species or aliens or anything non human, you have to get over your own concept of the world. After all, in this case, wolves are a pack. Why wouldn't there be a possibility of sleeping as one?? Just sayin'......

This was a good start to the series. But who did the skin belong to? I will have to get the rest of the series ;)

Very interesting. Maybe with a little more detail would be better. Tended to jump a little too much time wise, and description wise, but really enjoyed it and plan to look into the other series

Not the best shifter story I've read. But it's a good concept. Just needs to be ironed out.
