Demetrius always looked for a strong, confident female to warm his bed, everything his soul mate was not. He was dark to his soul mate's light and did not want to corrupt her so instead he stayed as far away as he could while still protecting her. That was until he found himself trapped with her with no escape. Demetrius knows it means the end of all of his hard work, and everything he held sacred. The personal growth Isadora displayed within this story was impressive. It was done in little changes so I did not notice until I reached the end of the story and realized that the princess may look the same, but she was a completely different woman. It made me appreciate the character, and the author at the same time. All of Isadora's growth helped in the author's ultimate goal. You can tell she really thought out the direction she not only wanted to story to go in, but also the series and she used every paragraph within this story to reach that goal. The relationship development was just as significant as the personal development of the main characters. I saw the dynamic of their relationship change, and each individual characters growth into who they were meant to be. Even some relationships with minor characters grew and developed within this story. In the end I had no doubt that everyone would live together and meet any future obstacles together as a unit. While reading this story I sometimes forgot that this was part of a series, because the story stood on its own so well. This is something I appreciated since I had not read the previous stories. The story also drummed up enough interest in the other characters that it made me want to read the stories I had missed, and want to continue to read the future stories in the Eternal Guardian series. I absolutely adore Greek mythology and this story gave me plenty of what I wanted. It was so jam packed with mythology it reignited my love for the heritage. Others have compared this series to Sherrilynn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series and I would have to agree. Therefore, if you enjoy Sherrilyn Kenyon or Greek mythology I urge you to pick up the Eternal Guardian series you will not be disappointed. Atalanta arranges the abduction of Argoela Princess Isadora. After using a fertility spell on her prisoner, the evil Atalanta sends Isadora to Pandora Island. She next manipulates her son Demetrius the Eternal Guardian to go to Pandora Island expecting to rescue his beloved; but his mom has different "matchmaking" ideas for her son. She expects the pair to produce her grandchild who will have blood ties to goddesses for her use. Isadora and Demetrius are attracted to each other as they are soul mates due to a Hera curse. He tries to avoid her and conceal his passion for her behind a face of scorn; however, she refuses to accept his dark brooding nature and goes after his love. Once the players are set, this Eternal Guardian romantic fantasy (see Marked and Entwined) is a fast-paced twisting Elisabeth Naughton original Greek mythos. The lead protagonists struggle with outside interference and worse love as each wonders if their feelings are real or Goddess driven. With the mother from Hades adding evil to the mix, series fans will enjoy this exciting entry. Harriet Klausner

I loved it so much, I read it twice. The whole series is fantastic. Demetrius and Orpheus' books are the best!

I must say upfront that I am not much into Greek mythology. The fact that this book also had romance did not appeal to me either. But the book had such great reviews that I decided to give it a try. Wow, what a terrific read! I could not put it down. It surprised me how well written it was. The description of this mix of earthy and mythological worlds was exquisite, to the point that I found myself recreating the subreal world of Lord of the Rings. The love story between the two main characters was very believable and never cheesy. I liked it so much that I bought and read the next book in the series (Enraptured), which I enjoyed equally.

Action packed with romance dribble in. Demetrius and Isadora's story. Turns out she's just not a helpless, hopeless female. She has overcome and became. Excellent story. High Recommend. This is one of the best series I've read. If you liked the "Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward" or "Carpathians Series by Christine Feehan" then this is right up your reading alley. Good books.

The book could have some merit if it didnt read so badly. The first few chapters are incredibly jumpy in an attempt to be 'mysterious.' Very predictable plot.

This was the first book I read by this author. Her writing style is easy to read and the story, while sometimes cheesy is a good escape from reality. If you enjoy Greek mythology this book will catch your interest. I liked it enough to buy the other two books in the series and enjoyed those as well.

I've read books 1-6 in this series and this book is by far my favorite story in the series. Ms. Naughton's writing in her character development was the best in this story. Demetrius was a very conflicted character with a dark side to him and there was so much more to him than meets the eye. Isadora really shines in this book. All of her actions in the previous books are now understandable. I thought she was very unintelligent and was very doubtful of all of her decisions but now I actually think she would be a great leader. She went through a lot of growth and maturity in this book; this was my favorite thing about this story. It was invigorating to see her change as a woman with a man she never expected. Demetrius became the man that she never knew she needed to bring her to the queen she was destined to be. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves paranormal romances. This series is a must read for paranormal romance lovers because there are so many interesting twists and turns in all the relationships and stories. It's very entertaining.

This book is where the Princess finally gets her man...and well, it was a long road for her. A little frustrating if you're the type to yell at characters for being thick-skulled and stubborn but an excellent read regardless! (I always yell at the characters...it is kind of like telling the extra in the horror films not to open THAT door...) I was really happy that the Princess' story was earlier in the series than later. It really wouldn't have gone over well if we had to go through each argonaut to get to her HEA and the way they complement each other really is perfectly done.

Loved it!! A great addition and a must read right along with the others in the series. Elisabeth Naughton hit about every emotion you have in you and turned Demetrius from a not so likeable male to one you wish you had beside you.
