In this cookbook, you’ll find twenty recipes that go with the Ten Brides for Ten Heroes collection—two favorites provided by each of the authors. All are tied to the stories in the boxed set. Some are for foods served at the wedding receptions depicted. Others are from meals the hero and heroine enjoyed or from their family’s favorite recipes. Each dish—from appetizers through main dishes and desserts—is introduced by a little background on the story or characters. Here you’ll find Mini Crab Cakes from Return of the Runaway Bride, Peanut Chicken from The Army Doctor’s Wedding, Raspberry Streusel Muffins from Here Comes the Bride, and seventeen other tempting treats.
These recipes are the authors’ gifts to our readers. It’s our pleasure to share a little more of what makes our writing meaningful to us. We hope you’ll think of Ten Brides for Ten Heroes when you make these tasty dishes.

Mona Risk never thought that hazardous waste analysis would lead her to writing novels! When her Ph.D. and work in chemistry landed her international contracts to refurbish laboratories, she traveled to more than fifty countries on business or vacation. To relax from her hectic schedule, she avidly read romance novels and mentally plotted her own books. Eventually she left a scientific career to share with her readers the many stories brewing in her head. M. Risk likes to set her stories in the fascinating places she visited from exotic Belarus, and historical France, to the beaches of Greece, the monuments of Egypt and the mysterious Islands of Seychelles.

A word from the Author of The Vicarage Bench Series…
I’ve taken early retirement on Vancouver Island to spend my days and many nights hovering over my computer and spinning the stories that have been vying for attention over the years.
My husband is supportive and drags me out to feed me and plans occasional forays into the outside world. I have a son who makes me happy I was born a woman so I could be his mom, and a niece whose family adds to my full cup of happiness.
Gardening lights my inner fires, and I need no urging to get out into the yard when the weather dictates. I do have many hobbies such as quilting, crocheting, but alas – no time.
