I was generously given an ARC for a honest review. I was anxiously waiting for the follow up to Breeder and Terran did not disappoint. I loved both the H/h! First of all, Marlix comes off as a huge chauvinist pig but as we get to know him and how he was raised, we start to understand. He is a product of his upbringing but has a kind heart and a big softie. The reader does empathize with his struggle with Parseon Protocol and his role as an Alpha and how he should feel especially toward Tara. Normally when writers try to write about a spunky heroine, they end up portraying them as annoying and shrill. But Tara is the perfect amount of spunky strength and softness. She is the perfect mate to Marlix. The story is basically about Tara and Marlix falling in love and coming to terms/compromising with their relationship and how it interacts living on Parseon. There is a backdrop of a possible civil war and I'm assuming it will be resolved in the 3rd and final book Warrior. I have been really enjoying this series and will be sad to see it end!

** Received ARC for a fair and honest review ** Terran is Alpha/Commander Marlix and Tara's story and is the 2nd book in the Breeder series. This book could be read as a standalone, but I think you would lose a lot of the meaning and wouldn't make as much sense. Plus you are introduced to all the characters and the storyline in the first book, this is just my humble opinion. In the first book you meet Marlix and minorly Tara at the bazaar. Marlix in the first story is definitely not my favorite character, and I was very curious to see how the author would redeem him. Marlix is against the Bazaar and having foreigner's, but they are not in his province, and right now they have what he is looking for. When Marlix and his beta Urazi go into the bazaar for fabric, they are not expecting to meet someone like Tara, a female that is bold, seemingly fearless, carries herself like a warrior and doesn't kowtow to them, and this greatly intrigues Marlix. To Tara, Marlix and the men in their society are essentially a bunch of chauvinistic pigs. After Marlix makes a purchase and forgets an item, Tara makes a grave error and leaves the bazaar. When Marlix finds her injured, he grabs her and gets her medical care, but it really isn't that simple, and I don't want to spoil things for you. Ok so here are my thoughts... I really enjoyed this book, however in the beginning of the book Tara is this strong, confident and fearless woman, and then they weaken her overall as a female, she isn't this bold, brave, fearless female and that bothered me. I enjoyed the characters, the chemistry between them, interesting continuation of the previous storyline. I also liked how Marlix and even his beta Urazi are redeemed. Obviously that was going to happen or there wouldn't be a book, but I was not expecting things to unfold how they did, which is a good thing for me. This book moves quickly and was hard to put down. I am definitely looking forward to the next book! Hope this helps! Happy Reading!!!

Sassy, Saucy SciFi! Commander Marlix is even harder, stricter and more set in his Alpha ways than Commander Dak from Breeder, yet when a stubborn earth creature defies not only his commands but the very bedrock of his reason, all is lost. This line seemed to sum it all up nicely: “Lust pounded like a warrior’s drum. Except he was a fallen soldier.” Yep. He’s toast.  Tara is a firecracker: sassy, smart and fun. She gives Marlix a run for his money using her many wiles to get her way and surprising herself most of all when she discovers what she really wants.  From Tara, “She’d known she was playing with fire, perhaps had even wanted to hold the match until she felt the breath of the flame on her fingertips.” This was a great read, and I can’t wait to see what happens next in Warrior.

I really enjoyed this book as I did Breeder! I am definitely looking out for the next book by this author. Parts of the book may not be for everyone but there are less of those parts in this book then there was in Breeder.

I love these kinds of Sci-Fi stories. I thought this one was very cute. I hated that the Parseon society was very misogynistic. But that is okay, because Tara proves that misogynistic excessives can be toned down and emotion turned up. Take Marlix, Parseon Alpha, and mix with Terran feminism. Mix well and Holy Moly. I cannot go further without giving up way to much. This book stirred up my anger, then my funny bone, and my holy hotness meter started rising. If you like Science Fiction and fiction in general, you will most likely like this series. The book I read is the second in the series, but I intend to read more. The Alphas and the Betas do not shift but that is okay. Terran's (can we say earthlings) apparently have progressed to true equality. No vampires, no ghosts, no shifters. But let me say this again. That is okay. I think as this story keeps on going and growing it will turn into more in terms of hotness factor. Totally enjoyable read.

Can't wait for the next!!!! Terran is the second in Cara Bristol's Breeder series. I loved Breeder, the first book, and was anxiously awaiting the second in this series. Cara created a world in these books that I definitely wouldn't want to visit, as a female, but that I love reading about. The entire society revolves around the men. Females are of no value. But in this book, a women from Earth or Terra as it's referered to challenges everything. Tara came to Parseon to escape bad things on Earth. She is not meek or submissive like the women on the planet. She speaks her mind and does her own thing. Then she meets one of the world leaders, Marlix, and things go from there. In the first book Marlix was definitely not one of my favorite people, but here Cara really shows us his transformation. He is a product of his society. Women mean nothing to him and never have. He leads strongly and forcefully. Yet when he learns about women from Tara he challenges his core beliefs and changes into a caring man. He is still very dominant and is still definitely in charge, but he learns to talk, question, and love. This was a wonderful love story that I recommend to all!

Loved this book! From the fun first exchanges and bad first impressions, this book had me smiling, yearning, and turning the pages. After my fabulous reading experience with the first book in the Breeder series, I could not wait to read this one. I'm so glad it's finally out. Romance was a living thing through throughout this story. I could feel both Tara and Marlix falling in love. "She is the day to my night." Oh my, I fell in love with Marlix too, most definitely. :)It wasn't just that they fell in love and I witness it. It was how they fell in love.  Plus, their scenes together are hot. Cara Bristol definitely delivered on this story. Terran reacquaints us with Dak, Omra, and Anika from Breeder. Very cool. This story also delivers in tension, suspense, and a good bit of fear. Ms. Bristol wound this story so beautifully and it had me on the edge of my seat. Nothing is predictable here. The ending was completely satisfying too. Very happy reader here. Terran is a must read. I cannot wait to read the next in this series. I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest and fair review.

Hot and sexy! I love this series and can not wait for more. The relationships are heartfelt and that isn't even talking about the main characters love. The relationship between Urazi and Marlix was very surprising and I really loved them. The love between Marlix and Tara was great too. Tara is a feisty girl and Marlix is an all male Alpha who gets what he wants and always wins. So when they get together it is one wild ride, that I loved reading. The story has some heartfelt situations from the characters past and the present, I teared up a few times. If you are looking for something that has some Sci Fi and a lot of hot romance then just one click this baby and get started

Cara Bristol did it again. Another GREAT story. I had been waiting on "Terran" since I finished reading the first book "Breeder" and I'm pleased to say that I was not disappointed:) I really enjoyed how Cara brought the characters together and also incorporated a few of the characters from "Breeder" and showed us what was going on in the lives of Dak and Omra, Anika and Jergan.  This is a story about a strong, feisty girl named Tara, who leaves Earth because of past problems, to live on the male dominated planet of Perseon where the Alpha men see women only as breeders and nothing more. Tara does not share the same beliefs as the people from Perseon. She tries hard to hate Marlix for kidnapping her and holding her against her will, along with giving her spankings when she goes against his word. He is Alpha and he gets what he wants always. But she can't bring herself to hate him. Marlix is kind and he protects her. He also brings out the submissive side of her that she didn't realize she had and she finds that she just wants to please the "Big Baboon."  Marlix is this misunderstood alien who kidnaps Tara after she had been attacked outside the bazaar were she sold a special type of material. On one hand Marlix wants to help Tara with her injuries and and make her better and that's it but then on the other hand he wants her for himself even though he knows it's wrong and goes against his beliefs. As Marlix holds Tara prisoner he can't fight the growing attraction he has with the very colorful Earth girl with pink hair and a tattoo going up her arm. I enjoyed watching forbidden love find it's way to one another. These two characters, one human and the other Alpha alien, fight against what they believe in to be together. I thought Cara did a GREAT job bringing two unlikely characters together with amazing sex and hot spankings.   The author gave me this book for an honest review. In my opinion this is defiantly a must read. I am patiently awaiting the next book in "The Breeder" series. Don't miss out, go buy the book. HAPPY READING:)
