This is book 7 and the final book in the Texas Montgomery Mavericks series and it features Jason Montgomery and Lydia Hensen. Talk about going out with a BANG! This story is the last and the best in the series! Lydia's family's situation is tragic and very difficult to deal with. Something like that changes everyone's lives. I could see both Lydia's and Jason's point of views through it all. Communication is key and that's one thing they weren't doing very well. It never works when you start making decisions for someone else's well being. It's a good thing the whole Montgomery clan is a nosy bunch. It takes a village and you'll understand that when you read this fan-freaking-tastic series. Oh, and the epilogue? I absolutely LOVE authors who write an epilogue that gives you a glimpse of their lives years ahead. Thank you Cynthia D'Alba for giving us this wonderful family in the little town of Whispering Springs. What a ride!

When emotions are involved, life has a way of spinning out of control. Texas Lullaby brings many good qualities to the table. Life can change in the blink of an eye and Lydia and Jason found that out in the most tragic of ways. Can they overcome the tragedy, secrets and heartbreak to find the happily ever after that they've been waiting for? What I loved about Texas Lullaby is the chance to catch up with friendly faces while get to know some new characters as well. The most beautiful twist of the story however was Jason ever growing bond with Lydia's ready made family. There is just something so sexy about a man willing to risk his heart and devote his life to a child.

TEXAS LULLABY is a refreshing departure from the traditional romance plot in that it features an already committed couple instead of the common meet and fall in love scenario. It features characters introduced in previous installments of Cynthia D’Alba’s Texas Montgomery Maverick’s series and centers around one couple’s struggles to maintain a relationship in the face of unexpected circumstances and tragedy. The plot is totally unpredictable and the characters well-drawn. I felt as if I knew both Lydia and Jason personally through their struggles. As with the other books in the series, there are supporting characters galore and all add to the story. The ending, while HEA, is wonderful and a fitting way to tie up all the loose ends. It’s a wonderful book and Cynthia’s D’Alba’s best yet! Heat level: 3.5 Rating: 5 stars

I loved Lydia and Jason's love story! This is the first book that I've read by this author and I now know that I'm going to have to catch up with this series in particular. Lydia and Jason were finally going to marry after a four year long engagement. They are settled in their careers and now ready for the next chapter in their lives, but a tragic accident puts their wedding and possibly their marriage on hold indefinitely. Lydia is grief stricken by the death of her sister and bother in-law, but saying no to taking on the responsibility of her nieces and nephew wasn't an option, even if it meant losing Jason forever. Jason never thought children were something that he could ever have in his life so saying that he didn't want them was easier than trying to explain the real reason so helping Lydia with the children only made perfect sense as far as he was concerned. Eventually they would set the date and marry and be one big happy family, but Lydia keeps trying to give him the easy way out all the while Jason is trying to hang on tighter. When they least expect it an unexpected surprise shakes things up and threatens their relationship and future even more. I was given an ARC for an honest review. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

4.5 Stars I'm sad to see the Texas Montgomery Mavericks series end. I've loved the books in the series and this last book will leave your heart happy and satisfied. Jason and Lydia are finally having their wedding, but fate just has to thrown them one more big curve ball to test them. Tragedy strikes and Lydia finds herself with three little ones. Jason has been adamant that he doesn't want kids so how are Lydia and Jason going to make it work when what Jason never wanted is the now reality. I really felt for Lydia her life is turned upside down and she feels the future she envisioned with Jason may no longer be an option. Jason and Lydia have their work cut out for them and sure do have their bumps in the road to deal with. There is one part in this book that I wanted to smack Jason upside the head for the way he acted. I understand where was coming from, but man it was just brutal the things he said. The little ones are too cute and my heart goes out to them for what they had to experience at such a young age. I enjoyed the appearances of character from the previous books. It's one of the things I look forward to in a series. I have to say that I highly enjoyed the epilogue in this one. For everything that this family has endured to see how they are was a huge win with me.

Best book of the series and that's saying a lot because I've loved all the books so far. If I could I'd give this book a 10* rating I would of. Lydia and Jason have been together through the the series and I've been waiting for them to finally tie the knot. There was so many emotions in the book. The loss of Lydia's sister was heartbreaking for her and her parents. It's hard to lose a sibling and I think Ms. D'Alba did an wonderful job with the emotional breakdowns. Brought back many memories from when my brother died. Not only did Lydia lose her sister but she gained an instant family. Three parentlis children both a blessing and a curse. Everything changed in one awful day. Jason and she were to be married, both had agreed no children. Nothing would ever be the same. Jason was there for her every step of the way, but it was only time before she'd have to let him go. How would she survive when he walked away? You really need to read this series if your not started it what are you waiting for? I promise you will love it!

Author Cynthia D’Alba has another winner with Texas Lullaby, the seventh and final book in the Texas Montgomery Mavericks series. The first two chapters are very emotional, which quickly drew me into this heartfelt and powerful read. Each book focuses on the love life of a member of the Montgomery family. This is the love story between attorney Jason Montgomery, the oldest of the four Montgomery siblings, and Dr. Lydia Henson, one of the small town's family physicians. Jason and Lydia have been a couple for a long time, and on the evening before their wedding, a tragedy occurs which causes them to delay their plans. Wow, what an amazing romance novel. Texas Lullaby is an impassioned, well-written book with a genuine love story that took hold of my heart and soul from the very beginning. It is a sweet and sexy story that I was unable to put down. Ms. D'Alba's writing style is effortless and easy to understand. The characters are well-defined and the children add a cuteness factor that is quite charming. I felt the connection between Jason and Lydia immediately, and I was truly captivated with how the author evolved their relationship with each other, due to their new situation. Overall, this is a touching story with great characters and an engaging plot. Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.

Not much of a story and forced myself to finish the book. Nice writing style but wish there had been a story
