From this bestselling page-turner series of stand-alone novels comes a dramatic romance of one woman's search for home and the Texas rancher who teaches her what home-going really means.

A disillusioned heiress wants nothing more than a place to call home. With lovable-but-quirky town folks, quaint country charm, and loads of business potential, Miller's Creek seems like the perfect place to start over. But Dani's dreams of finding home are crushed when malicious rumors and a devastating secret propel her down a road she never expected to travel.

Though a Texas politician questions the arrival of this city gal in the hometown he's sworn to protect and defend, Steve can't help but admit he's falling for her. But when a mysterious billionaire funds a renovation to downtown Miller's Creek, Dani's suspicious behavior brings his built-in lie detector to alarm-clanging alert.

Can Steve and Dani call a truce for a higher calling? Will romance blossom in Miller's Creek? And will Dani ever find true home?

Texas Roads by Cathy Bryant is a good read about wealthy widow who longs for a “home” and Texas mayor/rancher.  Dani has never felt like loved by her parents who were more interested in their place in society.  Dani goes to Miller’s Creek to meet her aunt from whom her mother is estranged.  The town of Millers Creek is attempting to revamp and bring people to town but needs funding.   Most of the story was more or less predictable but it was well written and I enjoyed reading it.

Truly heart-warming story ! I came back and read it again a year later....enjoyed the character development and the complex plot....lots of twists...and good solid Christan principles.......especially emphasized the importance of knowing Jesus....showing forgiveness...and apologizing when you've wronged someone. I look forward to reading her other books :)

I like how you started off with something entertaining like romance. And i like how it is christian, but there needs to be more than just faith God. There needs to be faith and love to God. But otherwise, good book!

Engrossing ?ove story between Dani, trying to escape from the city and find a home, and Steve, Mayor and long time rancher in a small town struggling to survive. Wonderful small town setting as a place for Dani to heal from multiple hurts. Mama Beth is the quintessential grandmother and a loving central character. The growth in the relationship between Dani and Steve is central to the plot as is Dani's spiritual growth. Learning to trust both another man and God go hand in hand. The faith based material is skillfully woven into the story and not overwhelming. The only thing that would have improved this story is an epilogue but that appears to be the following book in the series.

I really liked this story about Dani Davis who was missing something in her life and that was a place she could really call home. When goes to a small town names, Miller’s Creek, she seems to have found what she was looking for; a mother figure, a cowboy, a welcoming town and maybe God. The story has a little of everything in it, love, laughter, tears and a little bit of mystery in it as well. The characters are well written and likeable and the story moves at a good pace. I love the fact that it is a Christian book but it’s not preachy.I would like to have a little more at the end of the book. I felt there could have been more written but who knows, maybe the author has a Miller’s Creek part 2 coming up about what happens next with Dani and the cowboy, Steve.
