It was great how each book connected to the first. The only that drove me crazy is you don't see how the story ended. It left in major cliff hangers.

This is a set of stories set in Somewhere, Texas. The first two stories were readible but the following stories were barely interesting. I did read them... Then I started to read a tale where the lead character turns the love of his life into a werewolf... WHAT?!??!! I would say that it wasn't my up of tea...

Each story was great. I liked that they all could be read avoiding the cuss words. None of the stories read any less. Full of adventure and excitement. Loved them all. The warewolf one should be made into a movie. Ah what the heck. The whole set should be made into a movie.

I've only read The Rock Star Cowboy and if that's any indication this box set is going to rock no pun intended. I loved this story, but boy some of the things Brent did I would have killed him. This book had me laughing and crying. I highly recommend it because Brent redeems himself in the most romantic way possible thrown in with shenanigans you would come expect from DJ and Brent. I will add to my review once I read more. Edit: I have also read Fire Away, here is my review: The suspense of the cold case involving a fire that made Aidan a widow is opened once more. Claire his wife's sister is back into town years after the fire. she becomes the only hope for Aidan to be cleared, but the closer they get more dangerous it is. I couldn't put this one down. I just had to know what was going to happen next. I highly recommend this one!

I've only read SADDLE UP so far in this boxed set. This is the first book by Jodi Vaughn that I have read and I will definitely be checking out more of her books! She has a smooth flow with her writing that keeps your interest without confusing you. Once I started this story, I didn't want to stop reading. I think I fell a little in love with Derrick myself..LOL..He and Emily were made for each other. They just needed to realize it. Both with a troubled past afraid to trust. Not jumping into a relationship right off the bat but building it up slowly, you just kept rooting for them to figure things out. Met a few other interesting characters in this story that I hope to read about in the near future. WAY TO GO JODI, GOOD JOB!! I'm anxious to get to the other stories in this boxed set.

I can't believe I am saying this but...call the movers...Texas, here I come!!! Saddle Up, is the first book I read in this collection. The author, Jodi Vaughn, has pinned characters you want to know, you long to be on the ranch in the hot sun, along with Derrek and all the "boys". Emily, the heroine, taken advantage of by love and afraid to love again..finds herself involved with a hot and sexy cowboy. Isn't it amazing how that can change a women's outlook? Saddle Up introduces us to characters from the other books in the collection and I can't wait to get to know each one better! I highly recommend this collection. I am ordering a few more sets as Christmas gifts. So join me in Somewhere,Texas and let's all Saddle Up!!!

This was a mixed bag of stories - a couple good, a couple just plain bad. The thing that irked me the most about the collection was the fact that - with the noteable exception of the last story (A Month of Sundays, which was also my favorite) - the stories were NOT synchronized to each other. Facts and names from one story to the next were jarringly incorrect. Odd, out-of-place comments were just tossed in, like the authors remembered AFTER they finished writing that they were supposed to tie their stories in to the others, so they went back and threw something in. There was no continuity, especially when right in the middle of what little flow there was, suddenly there were WEREWOLVES?? Rock Star Cowboy: full of cliches & stereotypes... the women all making excuses for those poor, clueless, misogynists who of course because they're just being MEN, *can't help* being arrogant, self-centered a-holes - not their fault, of course. Transitions were SUPER bad, making the story choppy & difficult to focus on. And by the way, the past tense of "may" is "might" - not "may"! ...3 stars. Saddle Up: the writing is stilted & awkward, so the story doesn't flow. There is VERY graphic sex, which is a bit jarring due to the clean theme of the previous story. The ending is abrupt, unrealistic, and just plain stupid. And, almost nothing in this story synchronizes with the previous one. ...2 stars. Fire Away: actually a pretty good story, with elements of mystery and danger that kept me reading. The writing is a bit choppy, but passable - but the ending was TOTALLY unsatisfying (like the author had reached her quota of words and couldn't wait to shut it down). Too bad! ...3 stars (would have given it 4 if the ending had been more resolved). To Save a Mate: whah???? Out of the blue, a paranormal werewolf story? With *NO* tie-in to ANY of the other stories?? Regardless, this was an interesting premise - which unfortunately went nowhere. This story was extremely short, sparse on details, and - like the two before it - ended unsatisfactorily quickly. Detailed sex. (Also, the author needs to learn the proper use of apostrophes & possessives,) ...2 stars because there was such limited plot development. A Month of Sundays: good writing, well synchronized, believable plot and likeable characters. The story flowed well, and had all the elements of good writing. This story actually had an ending!, and a nice one at that. A clean, enjoyable read ...4 stars. The idea of a collection of stories all about the same characters in the same town is very intriguing - I just wish that the first 4 authors had actually taken the time to make their stories fit together. Maybe next time! ~~ ~~~

This was a great read? There were 4 great stories, all different, yet all connected to the same people in the same town. It was great to see 4 different authors all come together to write stories that get the reader involved in whats happening. Can't wait to get the next series?
