"Thank you God for Mommy", by Amy Parker is a wonderful book filled with the message of a mother's unconditional love for her child. The author touches on all the wonderful qualities a Godly mother possesses by showing the Mother and Child (Panda Bears in this instance) in lots of different classic mother/child situations. With darling illustrations of a mother Panda bear with her child, you see them swinging on swings in one moment and the mother holding her child tight in the next moment when s/he is frightened by a storm. The author shows how the mother cares for her child with her actions, her sweet words, and gentle touch. We also see the mother in her important role as a role model and teacher of faith. This book is perfectly suited for pre-school aged children as the rhyming sing-song quality will make it a book that your pre-school child will want to read again and again. And for you wonderful mothers out there, it will affirm you in the fact that your role is so important in your children's lives. So just in time for Mother's day- pick up this book for your favorite preschooler and preschooler's mother! I was given a digital copy of this book for review purposes by Thomas Nelson through the Netgalley program. I was not required to write a positive review and the opinions expressed are my own.

Thank You, God, for Mommy by Amy Parker is a cute picture book that illustrates the various ways moms can care for and show love to their children. A panda bear and her cub star as the rhyming text reminds the reader to be thankful for all that mommies do. Most of the text flows smoothly and highlights enough different roles that I think everyone will be able to relate. I especially liked the illustration on the last page of a very touching interaction between momma and cub. I received this book free from the publisher in order to read and give an honest review.

Thank You God for Mommy was a precious book suitable for young children. My 2 year old loved looking and pointing at the beautiful artwork featuring Little Panda. My 6 year old loved the way that the pages were written in a poem style, with the words rhyming, making it easy for her to remember them. I loved the way that that this book is so simple, yet shows how special a mommy is...from kissing boo-boo's, to reading lullabies, and to trusting that God will see you through. This would make a wonderful gift to any mommy or child. I will be reading this to my children often. Thank you Booksneeze! Hi there again- I've just gotten the CUTEST book from booksneeze. But before I tell you about it, I need to let you know that due to some long legal thing, I don't need to give this book a good review. So whatever kind of review I give it, it's how I really honestly feel. Okay, Thomas Nelson is pretty good about having visually pleasing books, but this book, "Thank You God, for Mommy" by Amy Parker and Illustrated by Frank Endersby is really just ADORABLE! When I first read it, I was kind of worried about how I would write a 200 word review for a book that hardly even had 200 words in it. But as I looked at the illustrations, I was blown away by the quality. The pictures are sweet scenes of a young panda and his mommy doing everyday things- playing, cleaning, getting ready for bed, each accompanied by a short poem listing Mother Bear's virtues. This padded book is wonderful for any toddler to read with a parent- the kind verses and the sweet pictures will surely be a hit with any kid under the age of 3. I give this book a nice five out of five stars:)

Thank You, God, for Mommy Two adorable pandas take you on a journey into thankfulness in the delightful board book by Amy Parker entitled, " Thank You, God, for Mommy." Little Panda tells you and your child why he is thankful for his mommy in this sweet story for the infant and toddler crowd. He speaks of his mommy and her caring nature, patience with messes, and boo-boo kisses with deep love and affection. The beautiful illustrations help the children see the characteristics spoken by Little Panda. The author points the reader to the expressions of faith shown by Mommy Panda in her words and actions and shows these actions vividly in the illustrations. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it for all parents of infants and toddlers who want to reinforce Christian principals when they share stories with their children. The last illustration in the book tells it all when it shows Little Panda covering up Mommy as she lay sleeping. By doing so, he is showing his love for her even as she showed her love for him. This book was provided to me free of charge from Thomas Nelson Publishers for review purposes.

Mommy panda held her baby aloft so he could look over the landscape with his little red telescope to see across the beautiful land. Next she smiled as she gently pushed him on the swing. "Thank you God for Mommy. / Her smile that shines so bright! / Whenever something makes me sad, / She shows me it's all right." Of course there's no problem when little ones make a mistake and it's always nice to see that Mommy helps others by giving them food. It makes no difference who they are, large or small, she's always there to help. When her little one has a boo-boo she is ready to fix it with cuddles and a bandage, but when the smiley faces come back it's time to play. If the skies open up and the angels are washing their floors and the thunder and lightning boom fill the skies, it can get very scary. Mommy panda cuddles her baby tight and covers him with a blanket. "Thank you God for Mommy. / Her arms that hold me near. / When lightning strikes and thunder booms, / She helps to calm my fear." When the storm has gone Mommy is still there to snuggle, comfort, and love her baby. God thinks Mommy's are very special and so do little pandas! This is an adorable board book that tells us how a little panda thanks God for his Mommy. The verse is superbly done and has an aura of happiness and comfort about it. Mommy and baby are shown together interacting and creating a special relationship that only they can understand. There are smiles, cuddles, and playful moments that grace the pages of this beautiful book. The artwork is charming and shouts love with every caring brushstroke. Quill says: This delightful board book would make for an excellent snuggle up, cuddle up and read book for any Mommy and her "real" baby!

i just finished reading "Thank You GOD For Mommy." It was so cute and heartwarming. The illustrations by Frank Endersby were done well. This is a sweet little padded board book, easy for a child to hold, about a child thanking GOD for all the things that mothers do and how they influence children, and how they are a blessing from GOD. The rhymes were well written I would recommend this book as a Mother's Day or Mom's Birthday gift. Many mothers and children will love to snuggle together to read this book. This is the first book I have read by Amy Parker and I must say that I enjoyed it. Highly Recommended!!! Thomas Nelson has provided me with a complimentary copy of this book.

Thank You, God, for Mommy is a cute boardbook with "padded" outer cover, perfect for young hands to hold. The inner pages are filled with cute prose about all the ways Mommies are God's gift to their young. The cute panda bear Mommy and Baby are seen in different scenes...staying safe in a rain storm, kissing a boo-boo, and getting ready for bed. Each two-page spread starts with the phrase "Thank You,God, for Mommy"...a repetitive phrase that young children will likely pick up on quickly. The book should appeal to Mommies (and Daddies and other caregivers) and young children (in my estimation, age 6 months - 4 years). The soothing, repetitive lines make this book ideal for bedtime or quiet time. There are no other characters shown in the book other than Mommy and Baby. I think this book is one of the cuter children's books I have seen recently...the illustrations are well-done, and the writer has written the book specifically for children (rather than "at" children). Well done, and I would not hesitate to give this book as a gift to a family with young children.

I had the opportunity to review Thank You, God, For Mommy by Amy Parker and published by Tommy Nelson. Cricket and I both really enjoyed this book. It was very sweet to read to her about a Mommy's love as she was snuggled up in my lap. I really liked all the different ways a mother showed love. We both liked the illustrations, and thought that the pandas were adorable! I am thrilled to be adding this book to our collection, and I am sure it will be read many times. Thank You God, for Mommy by Amy Parker is a sweet children's book from the eyes of a little panda about his mom. Through the book, he thanks God for all the things about his mom that make him feel safe and loved, and most importantly, point him to God. Through the rhyming prose, children of all ages will find things to be thankful for about their moms too! The illustrations by Frank Endersby and beautifully done and full of life and color. Children will certainly enjoy this reminder of many things to be thankful for in special people in their lives. The qualities praised in the book are virtues, not outward appearance or superficial things. Most of all, the little panda thanks God that his mommy helps him trust in God too, and that she will always love little panda, no matter what he does!! I would recommend this book to any children's library to learn what it means to be thankful, and what to be thankful for! Most importantly, children will learn that it is good and right to be thankful to God for all the blessings in their lives, and this book will inspire them to be thankful for those blessings in their lives just like little panda did! I was given the book, Thank You God, for Mommy by Amy parker to review from Tyndale publishers and I am so grateful! This is such a fun little book to read to your child, and as a mother it made me feel encouraged that this is really how I can make my little guy feel. I loved reading it to myself and when my guy is old enough to sit still for more than 30 seconds I think he will really enjoy it too. The illustrations were beautiful and different than a lot of others right now. I loved the panda bears that were the characters in the story - they were so adorable. I think that Mommy's forget how important they are to their children because things get so hectic, but this really is a fun and encouraging read for both mom and child.
