About the Author

Dr. Mike Moreno is a graduate of the University of California at Irvine and Hahnemann Medical School. Following his residency at Kaiser Permanente in Fontana, California, Dr. Mike moved to San Diego, where he now practices family medicine and serves on the board of the San Diego Chapter of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Very easy to follow and you start to see results fast. I like the list of allowable foods for each stage, and that it is broken down into 17 day cycles. It describes substitute foods based on culture and provides easy to follow meal plans to follow using allowable foods. My Aunt follows it for over 8months and she lost over 45 pounds and I have lost 8 pounds on the first stage of the diet.

Everyone I know, including myself , has had nothing but success with this diet. It truly teaches you how to eat healthy and get your metabolism back up and running! My only concern is sustainability. For that, I'd recommend you pick up a copy of The Hungry Chick ieting Solution. Hungry Chick is teaching me how to keep this momentum going. Buy it as well, it is a must have.

I know this diet has been successful for so many, but staring the 3rd day of the first cycle, my husband and I were so sick and simply couldn't eat anything except for broth. As soon as we started back on our regular diet, we were fine. Yes, we lost a significant amount of weight in just those few days, but it was so not worth it.
