About the Author

Frank Doyle

He attended the '66, '87 and '98 U.S. Opens played at the Olympic Club and witnessed first hand many of the shots described within his book. The stories surrounding the '55 U.S. Open, involving Ben Hogan and Jack Fleck, were told to him by his father, Francis J. Doyle, M.D., who also was a long-time member of the famed Olympic Club.
