Revised and updated. The 38 are Rhodesian Air Force airmen killed in action during the Rhodesian - Zimbabwe War 1965 to 1980. In some cases the bodies of those airmen killed in hostile foreign countries were not recovered - not even after the cessation of hostilities. This 'coffee table' publication is an extract from the "Rhodesian War Casualties" book by the same author, and in essence is a pictorial history which honours those airmen who paid the supreme sacrifice in the service of their country. The record also details the number and type of Rhodesian Air Force aircraft that was shot down or lost on operations. Information of where the memorials are, where names of the lost are to be found and where some of the aircraft crash sites are given. Credit is given to those persons who many years later ventured into the 'unknown'to find the locations of the aircraft crash sites. This revision corrects earlier fatal formatting errors.
