This book has 182 block patterns but they are something different than the normal quilt blocks, they are rectangles. What a clever idea. The introduction section gives ideas on how to use the patterns by either making a quilt and choosing your own blocks or making a quilt as a club/group swap. Either way, the ideas are cleverly refreshing. There are mostly straight seams but there are a few curved patterns. The patterns include half square triangles, stitch and flip, flying geese and applique. The authors also talk about how to make a template and the template patterns are included. There is a gallery of sampler quilts with a numbered graph if you want to make one just like theirs. The final page has a blurb about the authors.
