From national bestselling author Dakota Cassidy comes the latest in the series that "gets better and better with each book." (Bitten by Books)

He’s in a furry situation.

Accountant Harry Ralph Emerson has always been a by-the-numbers kind of guy. But when he finds himself trapped at work sprouting an obscene amount of hair, he knows his odds for maintaining normalcy are zero to none. After a frantic internet search, Harry goes through the OOPS—Out in the Open Paranormal Support—checklist and comes to a disheartening conclusion: He’s turning into a werewolf and he needs help ASAP.

She might be the only solution.

Werewolf Mara Flaherty has long carried a torch for Pack Cosmetics’s sexy single accountant, even after her attempt to seduce him went down in flames. When her sister-in-law, Marty, shows up to handle Harry’s OOPS emergency, she tasks Mara with showing the hirsute hottie the ropes. But Mara knows Harry’s condition is a result of her lab experiment gone wrong—and the previously mild-mannered object of her affection is about to give her a piece of his mind…

Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION’s Vivacious Valkyrie – Marta: *eARC received from the Publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review Well Dakota Cassidy has done it again and written another hilarious offering in her popular Accidentally Friends series, this one is number 8 I believe and sure to delight her fans. Shy werewolf Mara Flaherty has carved a career for herself as a chemist at Pack cosmetics but there are just two things she still really wants. One is a child of her own and the second? Well that just happens to be the uber sexy but conservative accountant Harry Ralph Emerson. Only problem is Harry seems oblivious to her fumbling overtures and there's no one else she's that attracted to. Using her skills she creates a serum that could help her get pregnant with her own werewolf cub but problem is it gets drank by mistake and unfortunately the unlucky person is Harry and suddenly he finds himself not just an accountant but an accountant sprouting fur! Not given to panic Harry goes online and finds an organisation calling themselves Out In The Open Paranormal Support -OOPS- and having done their quiz comes to the worse possible conclusion, that he's turning into a werewolf! Calling them for help he gets more than he bargained for as the snarky vampire on the phone just doesn't seem to appreciate his predicament. When help does arrive Harry quickly learns that not only has he changed but just about everything he believed in was a lie as well.  Finding out he's been working with supernatural creatures is just the beginning . Mara, who he'd secretly liked is responsible for his transformation and he's expected to keep it a secret as she would be in trouble with her pack. Mild mannered Harry suddenly finds himself at the mercy of his inner beast and it looks like he knows just who to unleash it on.  Mara's mortified at what's happened but together with her friends is convinced they will be able to help Harry if only he would let them! Finding out he has two small children at home to look after complicates things and the small matter of Maras libido where Harry's concerned doesn't help, but when the children are threatened Harry and Mara have to work together.  These books are usually a riot and this one was no different. Ms Cassidy writes a delightful contemporary paranormal tale that's full of fun. Not intended as dark or particularly erotic but warm, amusing fantasy. Her rich characters jump off the page and although not always likeable (snarky vampires!)they are vibrant and full of life. Frequent popular culture references had this reader laughing out loud but what remains with me is the loving and close relationships that her characters share. A delightful read to brighten the dullest day!

Caution: Don't eat or drink while reading this book! It's so funny you might choke! Harry (not Harold) Ralph Emmerson is a bean counter at Pack Cosmetics. He's linear thinking and quite down-to-earth. He has no idea he's working with quite a few werewolves, until he takes a swig from the wrong bottle and things get beastly. As one does in this situation, he searches the internet for a fast solution, and finds O.O.P.S. The site's handy-dandy paranormal questionnaire reveals that he's turning into a werewolf?! Mara Flaharty is a brilliant lab employee at Pack that no one seems to want as a mate. She's had her tail in a fluff over Harry for quite a while, but the one time she'd approached him had ended in humiliation. To make matter worse, the concoction that Ralph drank was meant for her!  The O.O.P.S. team swoops in to help Harry adjust to his new skill set - whether or not he feels the need for it. But his hard-headed logic could prove to be a danger to the werewolf community, and his family! Despite being the eighth book in the series, the story remains fresh and the characters well-written. While many authors fall into a slump of repetition, Cassidy maintains a loose formula for the stories in the series without producing cookie-cutter results.  By far, her greatest strength is ranging from laugh-out-loud humor to fear and tension within a mere few pages with credibility. Second only to that is her ability to produce supporting characters that a reader will enjoy as much as Mara and Harry. This is definitely going on my re-read shelf!

Oh my....Dakota Cassidy has done it again. She never fails to entertain you with such humor and stories of mystery and love. I simply adore the characters and world she has created in this series and the OOPS group those characters are a part of to help people who find themselves accidentally thrown into the paranormal world. The characters are all so different personality wise but she makes them all work together in such a way that is so entertaining for the reader. I love Nina and her brand of humor. I love how Marty and Wanda both work to keep Nina calm. I laugh out loud and am always pulling for the couple that finds themselves falling in love despite the craziness they are involved with. Its no different for Mara or Harry. Mara a scientist and werewolf who has had a secret crush on Harry the human who has no idea he is surrounded by werewolves. Their story leaves out none of the craziness expected to happen in the world of paranormal. It was a great story and Dakota Cassidy always leaves you feeling the world is right at the end. Highly recommend this series if you haven't read it. Loved..loved...loved this book too!

The Accidental Werewolf 2: Something About Harry is the eighth book in Dakota Cassidy's outrageous Accidentals series. Cassidy's over-the-top humor and pop culture references give this novel a light and fun atmosphere which will appeal to paranormal fans, as well as, romance readers. The author has a flair for the dramatic and her characters are vivacious and full of life. Something About Harry is definitely a hair-raising book, with lots of paranormal fun! What I liked:  This novel was a first for me from this author and I was impressed with Cassidy's humor and the overall comedic appeal. Her books are obviously not meant to be dark paranormal tales. There was a lightness about it that was fun and entertaining. Pop cultures references abounded in Something About Harry, and Cassidy was able to interject them into just about every situation. From Harry Potter to the Walking Dead, the author had a penchant for contemporary speech and thought patterns that made me chuckle more than once. The characters were multi-dimensional and had a bit of depth that is sometimes missing in a novel that has a lot of humor. Cassidy made staid accountant Harry come alive as he dealt with his newly acquired werewolf sensibilities and even his overactive libido. Mara was a perfect match with her analytic mind and her wacky experiments. These two sizzled on more than one occasion which was fine with this reader. What I didn't Like: Fortunately, there were not to many things I didn't like about this one. I am one of those readers than can get into any kind of romance book, paranormals being some of my favorites. I enjoy a good love scene, and it can get a bit graphic, but one thing that tends to bug me is the use of too many colorful metaphors (as Spock from Star Trek might say). I don't like a lot of bad language in a book. In the bedroom certain things are expected, and I realize that "Good, Golly, Gosh Darn," doesn't always convey a characters point. But too much is too much. This one was a little wordy for my tastes, so that's just something to be aware of. It didn't take anything away from the overall read, which was excellent! Bottom Line:  I wish I had started reading this series a lot earlier. Now I have to catch up. This a read that has a lot of humor, some great characters and a whole lot of contemporary pop culture references that will have readers rolling. It is good as a stand alone and you won't get lost at all, but I have a feeling as part of a series, this one will rock! Try it... I think you'll like it.

This is the best one in a while, but Harry is almost as annoying as Nina.
