Dive Deep with Blue Ocean Bob as He Takes the Lead Protecting All Life in the Sea of Kerchoo

An earthquake has set off an oil spill on the ocean floor, and Blue Ocean Bob faces his toughest challenge yet. After seeking advice from the local sage, Doc the turtle, Bob musters the courage to dive down and repair the damage alongside his mentor, Mary Marine. Upon their return, Wallace the walrus alerts Bob that a great white shark has been beached. Calling on his island friends, Bob devises a creative plan to set the shark free.

But when Mary is called away to a distant island, Bob has to put his fears (and those of his hummingbird guardian, Xena) aside and step into his mentor’s shoes. Some unlikely allies help Bob in his new role, but he soon realizes that he needs even more help. Thanks to a tip from his trusted friend, Earl the clam, Bob finds the perfect candidate in a young girl he meets on the shore.

The Adventures of Blue Ocean Bob: Into the Lead is the third installment in this colorful and inspiring early chapter book series that provides young readers with an introduction to timeless principles of achievement.

Third Installment of Blue Ocean Bob, Greatest One Yet Brooks Olbrys’ latest story, Into the Lead in the series The Adventures of Blue Ocean Bob, is a treat to read. Olbry highlights important values such as ambition, resourcefulness and teamwork, while Kevin Keele illustrates the story beautifully. The story starts out with Blue Ocean Bob and Mary Marine working together to solve crises such as saving entangled dolphins and sharks. However, when disaster strikes on another island, Mary Marine must leave and puts Bob in charge. Nervous and unsure at first, Bob realizes that anything can be achieved with teamwork. With a fun rhyming pattern, numerous sea creatures, and an engaging story- this book is perfect for five to seven year old children. Overall, Into the Lead, is a great story that every parent should read to their children for bedtime. -Be the Star You Are!® Teen Reviewer

Blue Ocean Bob, Into the Lead is the fourth Blue Ocean Bob book but you do not need to read the others to enjoy this one. This is a cute early chapter book that late primary and early junior would be able to read independently. The books take place on the tropical island on the sea of Kerchoo, where Bob and his boss Molly Marine help the animals and the environment. In this volume with the help of the head animals, Bob plugs and oil leak, saves a beached shark, rescues some dolphins and begins to train Mary`s niece Molly to help out. This is a book that will introduce and reinforce the concepts of working together, mentorship, friendship, helping the environment as well as showing some of the underworld life and ecology. The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous with bright colours and lots of detail. The story is told in a rhyming way that flows easily and sounds lyrical. I read this book to my grandson, one chapter at a time and he really enjoyed it, especially looking at the pictures and discovering things in them. I recommend this book to families, schools and public libraries. I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

The Adventures of Blue Ocean Bob: Into the Lead by Brooks Olbrys A good early reader to show children the ideals of helping their neighbors, and some of the problems that sea life have with human behavior. This is a good reader to help build fluidity and word recognition .
