About the Author

Harrison R. Fisher, Sr., a native Houstonian, is a licensed practicing attorney in the State of Texas. He has a love for children. He graduated magna cum laude from Jesse H. Jones, High School in 1976. He received his BA degree in Public Affairs from Texas Southern University in 1980 graduating magna cum laude and then earning his Juris Doctor of Law from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 1983. He confessed Christ at the age of 17, while a member of Park Crest United Methodist Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. Dirley Sams. Harrison studied for one year at Perkins School of Theology toward a Masters of Divinity in the Perkins South Program.

Harrison has been happily married for 39 years to Sherille and are the proud parents of five wonderful children, Kelley, Dominique, Harrison, Jr., Jacob, and Joshua and five wonderful grandchildren. He confessed his call to the ministry in November 1992. He was ordained as a minister of the gospel in May of 1993. His mentors were the late Pastor Blaine Arlington Boling and the late Pastor Elbert R. Curvey the founding pastor of Sunnyside Missionary Baptist Church.

He is presently on the ministerial staff at Missouri City Baptist Church under the pastor ship of Rev. Dr. Dennis W. Young.
