Chapter One

The Soothsayer's Verses

I pen these lines in hope to you, dear son. These are the words passed down through succession. Cradle them closely, and cradle them tight. They'll keep you safe from dawn 'til night.

These were the murmurings passed on to me; ... Once before passed from sun to son. Pass this on when your work is done. Accomplish the work-the only one.

A candle, a stepping stone, and letters ... These are your tools. Admonished to use them wisely ... Death, if you wish, can be untimely.

Wish it not to conjure fear. Inevitably, this is what is done. Wait for me by the pasture. Please echo here-and echo forever after.

A prologue of sorts; the Soothsayer's Verses, Take care not to let them change. It is not a quandary or challenge. With storm, it often happens.

This beginning scroll conveysthe prophecy. The circle begins; the ouroboros. It is sometimes black, and sometimes white-vague, if you will, ... Like viziers and feather quills.

Turning leaves of light and dark, ... The cracking sound of thunder's spark, ... These words like bullets bark. The signs now leave their mark.

Before the Zeniths

Trapped in this concentration, Gravity hinders me downwards. The claw of life clasps me in. Where is yang, young monk? And yin?

I am a creature in this skin. I am a monster, heavy sin.

I crave that white light. I crave ... ... Those lines; that highly sought after thing. That endless plane to be; Universal connectivity

All eyes, all eyes are everywhere Sacred nature has divine in all, in ants and deer.

Zephyrs of fire are eternal; ... Brightest warmth; the adept. Far away is the void, the zonal pocket. Oh! Mighty man built a rocket?

The cylinder that I am in is ... ... A mask that holds me tightly again.

Perpetual space, perpetual moves, The thin, tinted and omnipotent glass ... ... is a glaze and I am inebriated. All for one and one is all; this can be appreciated.

Instance is not just mathematics, or solid facts and certainty. This is not just a universe, but here lay you and me.

Crumbling Age

The Gallows wait, like hemlock and nightshade. Discern gates, with the bull on their iron lock. The Centaur holds a pocket watch. He wears a monocle and suede scarves which ... Banter in child-like mind games.

Gothic ruins rekindle the feather pen. New times dwindle, as the feather lies in the cinders. Dark ages return; monarch butterflies of apocalypse treaties ... Scan the bloody, new moon, knowing they were the ones ... ... who made it burn.

Melancholy sets in the study hall, where students tap their pens. No hero here to win; no professor now or then. Gloom alone in the dark, where literature dilutes in mass. Tempered swords and sparks enliven ... Moon gliders who can't look past.

Armored, flailing men, just gladiators who kill for sport. With census' ascending again ... dismal times descend. Church bells make their tolls where the Vatican surely shows. "Time is in rapid roll," I said ... To my spider; arachnid soul.

Slapping, trapping, laughing, and acting ... Out dark and bloody times. Whimsical plays, with theatre rage, make high class buffs now chide. The crumbling age to outer space where shuttles ... Fasten time.

Eternally Free

How long will love play us? There's something in the dark of your mind, ... A reason you abuse my trust. I have left it all behind.

I have gone through the successions; ... Travelled the route of the seasons. I have learned some of life's lessons. I see all of the empty reasons.

You must know there is nowhere to go. The avenue ends here on black ice. You have shown what I have already known. No polished lies can suffice.

I analyze the inner tune, ... Singing loudly as I strengthen my wings. Something important is happening soon I don't talk much of such things.

The trials have shown the sound of bells. Victory tolls in the tongues of choirs. The serpent-man, from his cave, he yells ... And sets the crystal dwarf-rock on fire.

We have trampled through too much. The game of love has turned on its side. The sandman presents his deadly touch. The sun's rays begin to hide.

Summer has turned to scratching frost. Winter has been augmented by dark lullabies. Will you fight for any cost? Even when the union dies?

Spiral down, will you please. I want you to see what I have seen. Grab a hold of the wrinkled sleeves. Make your seven senses keen.

Maybe, and only then, can we be ... What we have always aimed to be. Then, behind us, visions are seen clearly ... Where lovers are eternally free.

Gypsies

At the night bar, on a distant planet home, ... In a specific aphelion to a blue star, gypsies roam. Blackest hoods, cloaks, and silver charms adorn a child raising his arms.

His forehead shines brilliant, purple light. He leaves his bed, out into the night. The life of the dark is vibrant and strong. Gypsies walk through alleyways long.

The child is there, and receiving a harsh gaze. The lead rogue cares, in scaled precision, the child stays. And, off into the night, a gypsy goes; a destiny only a gypsy can know.

The Poor Man's World

The ragged cloth, dirtied in murky waters ... Lags in the race of the hounds, The echoing futility that is your disgrace, ... Laughs in faces left lonely on the ground. Something is forsaken for the masks we wear, ... While candles burn and bishops retreat. The badges of industry are put to the floor ... And under their feet.

They fix the sheets and discard a grin; ... Attaching the memories to the appropriate places. They leave only traces of the façade And tap the black train until life erases. Distant, rising voices mark the mind. Under a cardboard shelter, insects feed. Inside, a lonely man decays, ... Murmuring a forgotten creed.

777

Seven is seven, this truth is told. Heavenly grace, bestow a glimmering crown, ... A glossy reminder that all that comes before, and all that comes after,

... Resides around the center. For you and me-and all that is-is medial in relation to all else. Seven, Seven, Seven

Four Crimson Bricks

Four crimson bricks on stations lay; ... Four crimson guards who wait. Stations of night where seagulls fly ... Are protected by eyes of the sky.

"I knew it, I knew it" I said in regret. Pursue it ... then refuse it; ... the game you set.

So, the station is my home. I dwell in a night; a shadow. I dwell where few men go. With treasures hid in stow.

You see, I'll always win. You know the reason for my ways; To decree what has always been, ... And how its idea decays.

The four omens surround me, Abound with the winds of change. Doorways low and ... astoundingly, ... stating the sins, and perfectly staging.

Yes, the stage is set ... but the fools think it is a place. Cleverness has fleeted from them and you, dear. The raging bets and rules erase; ... You retreated from them too in fear.

Your imagination has gotten to you, young one. Yes, you are hypnotized. Your graduation is rotten now too, young-blood. Yes, they are disguised.

I'm sorry, but the four omens are locked to you. And you must find the way to unlock them. The four crimson bricks lay for you; ... Waiting for you to talk again.

Maji

Ancient Maji speak bronze language to my cymbal; ... Riddles in my ear. Archaic sounds of the manger where baby Jesus ... Appeared beneath my window.

Question marks so maniacal and hollow, With plasma as black as night, ... And foolishness to follow. Take a sick and twisted bite.

Their box of non-existence ... Leaks out of all space; All mind and matter unconcealed. While running backwards, race

They cloak themselves with robes. Shadowed figures ride, Walking with prestige; ... A prideful, knowing stride.

The vizier looks down ... From his golden throne. Starry skies are seen above; ... No dark blue sky ... alone.

The Maji entered zealously, ... Scorning on and on, Pointing fingers endlessly, ... On from dawn to dawn.

The power of a magistrate, A cunning thief of place, Took the box so rightfully; ... With no pity, no disgrace.

The hidden truth surrounds us all, It appears both here and there. These Maji had but one mission, To change position ... To care.

Insurrection

A jester of sorts, the blackest joker of all, ... Twisted to turn a willing ear, and roll the dice of absence ... Into the abyss and monstrous pit. Watch the sky's unholy angels. Hearken to stinging stimulus; liturgies of a false trio. The ones are in the house-it is white, it is unfit. Shade permeates the grove of the soothsayer, the sun. The three-eyed creature, it is wise and your modus is known. An intellect; a sharpest wit ... lined the way. Stringency was combined with relapse. They ease, they exude ... We shall be indocile. I compose and gaze at the flame.

Lost Vision

The leader of the group is a bubble travelling upward. From the bottom of the sea floor, along cold and sun-deprived caves, ... Darkest, murky-green sea-weed is holding those pesky eels. The fiddlers of the sea unleashing questions-along watery mountains, ... Evaporating truth or solid lie; gaseous words that form and fly.

A serum spreads your life around, sharing with all spaces. Its crimson drops, they construct a highway, they are wax ... you know of December. They drop and harden in the form of an emblem; a coat of arms ... Depicting a phoenix, with a topaz heart aflame, and eyes of ice.

In one claw, it holds a birch-lined mirror, so it will always know itself. In the other, it holds water, to purify what has gone from feeling. Its icy eyes see the world; how it has become a world of specifics, ... About detail and being concise, and has lost sight of the elements.

Now, my picture hangs on its frame. I see a dark horse riding. A dusty road and a down-drawn sky are below swirling cirrus and wandering eyes. The picture depicts a loss of self; it is not what people suspect. I will take the emblem and place it on the horse's chest; a fusion of reality and illusion.

All ways merged is one way diverged ... with no possibility? Am I deceitful? I should refrain from rambling, because it will lead me down that road as well, ... Eaten away as I walk it, looking for an alternate path. Create the exodus to distant stars, while atoms turn and mix and melt. They implode from their own self-abuse ... just as we humans do. Does it sound familiar?

I Was in There

I was in there, and there were none. The darkness came about my face. The slow progression-minute and irrelevant- ... Brought about an inner restriction. The ring bound me tightly, I found a fear. The animals scurried along in shadows, ... Ascending from a forsaken hole. Coming from a heretic's world, ... The declinations of wretched ways, ... Increases tenfold in this ending year The last of all to stand up tall ... Is a society brought up for naught? Seeing the events, and seeing them well, ... I fear for my life-with this poem close. An insane mind breeds insane trends. Fear for me not in these ending years. I am just floating in all the tears.

I seen this book not knowing what to think at first, since I don't habitually read these types of books but I was quite surprised to realize how much I enjoyed it! The subject matter is all very stimulating intellectually and also emotionally. Many lines seem so carefully orchestrated. It is like a symphony of words!
