Overview

“...a full-blown outer space adventure....I read it straight thru cover to cover.” ~ Reader Review

Earth's supremacy is dependent on its faster-than-light technology. Known as the Surfboard®, the FTL engines use the rare metal crynidium as their power source. Crynidium is found in abundance only on one planet: Prosperine.

The Agency is negotiating with Prosperine’s Government. Their goal is to secure exclusive mining rights, but intelligence suggests a radical faction is plotting to seize power. If the rebels prevail, their manifesto to return the planet to the Dark Ages will prove catastrophic.

Hickory and her team are sent to investigate and discover not only Earth's future but the fate of the entire galaxy may depend on them.

“A Great read. Had me at the first chapter. Did not want to stop. Love the plot, the storyline, the action!!”

“McDermott creates a very original and hopeful future world similar to the kind of sci-fi I grew up loving. His alien characters are delightful and believable. I could not wait to read the second book, Rise of the Erlachi which is even better!”

This book features some strong women and men who fight for an intergalactic agency. The unusual twists related to a Christian like Messiah makes for a great read. A new author for me that will be added to my favorites. His writing is very smooth and flows nicely. Very well edited.
