Rhia Blaxwell Hart is desperate. Worse than that, she's desperate for a man. She needs a husband in the worst way.An introverted, small-town widow and daughter of a dairy farmer, she's inherited the dilapidated family business in the foothills of South Carolina. She's got forty acres of farmland, forty head of Jersey cows to tend, and no one to help her. She decides it's time to take matters into her own hands and places an ad for a husband. Can she find a husband on the internet? Not exactly. But since beggars can't be choosers, she does find one willing to pose as her husband. Only one man answers her ad, and he's got a dangerous reason for doing so. She's letting her guard down and letting this man with a dark past onto her farm and into her life. With a man around the house, she's finally able to get the business back on its feet. But now that the farm is thriving and she can turn her attention to more important things like the sexy, motorcycle-riding bad-boy posing as her husband, life-threatening danger is discovered under her very own roof.

About the Author

Tina Proffitt is the author of nine mystical romance novels set in small southern towns and one non-fiction book about past lives with current animals.
She lives in South Carolina with her husband and two life-long home-schooled children. With a degree in education from the University of South Carolina, Tina has been a lover of reading and writing from an early age. But even though at age fifteen she decided to become a writer when she grew up, she didn't write her first book until she was thirty-six. It was then she discovered that nothing else she could do for herself got her up so early in the morning.
She shares her home with her family, one Bernese Mountain Dog, Juliet, and three rescue cats, Puss in Boots (from Shrek 4), Kitty, and Susan. She tries to incorporate her love of animals and animal communication into her books because she believes that life without the mystical is boring.
