The Almost Bride is a real page-turner! I love the relationship between sisters Lily and Jill; it's almost a love/hate situation -especially since for years Lily thought Jill had stolen her fiance just as they were about to marry! After being tossed out of their home, Jill comes to her sister's house for help, a place to stay until she can find a job and reclaim custody of her daughter Ashley. Soon, Lily suspects that her sis has her eyes on Grady, her boss in the little bookstore they operate together. Who was the wise person who once said to look right under your nose for what you want and need? It takes a near disaster for everything to come to light and fall into place for all concerned. This author is clever and witty and I will read anything she writes! Highly recommended! by Lila L. Pinord Author of IN TIME

A great book.  Definitely 5 Star rating.  I especially enjoyed the relationship between the two sisters (Lily and Jill).  Had not read from this author before but will definitely put Sandy Bruney on my must read list.

At this point I'd read cereal boxes as long as I knew that Sandy Bruney was writing the text. I am a fan! Sandy knows how to take a character and turn her into someone I'd like to know. Keep up the good work!
