About the Author

NY Times and USA Today Bestselling author Michelle Fox lives in the Midwest with her husband, kids, the occasional exchange student and two, sweetly disobedient dogs. She loves fantasy and romance, which makes writing paranormal romance a natural fit. Occasionally, she goes through a maverick phase and writes contemporary romance. In her spare time, she's been known to shake her bon-bon at Zumba, make spectacular cheesecakes, hoard vintage costume jewelry and eat way too much ice cream (Ben and Jerry’s Karamel Sutra for the win!).

I could not set this book down. Read it all in one sitting. Strong woman with no belief in fated mates meets her match. Storyline around the inner love story is unique. It is worth worth reading once and maybe again.

I was gifted this ARC in return for an honest review. I had such a blast reading this book and all in one sitting. I honestly couldn't put it down. Talon is such an alpha you'd wish you were on the receiving end of his affections. Gretchen is one hell of a strong she-wolf who knows exactly what she wants, well until she meets Talon that is. Her dad is in trouble, so who you gonna call? Well you call the sheriff, that's what you do. Enter our larger than life Talon, who also knows what he wants and that is Gretchen. Sparks will fly, punches are thrown and even bites and knee jerks are thrown in. So dear reader, does all this grab your interest? I sure hope it does, I wouldn't want you to miss out on this fabulous book. Michelle Fox has done such a splendid job that I was quite sad to see the last page turned. So looking forward to more adventures with the author.

First I have to say this is the hottest book cover...and it allows me to visualize with the characters. Michelle Fox does not disappoint with this story of fated mates, even though Gretchen doesn't believe...Sheriff Talon does but proving it to this stubborn she-wolf will be its own adventure. This has all the elements I enjoy in a shifter story, action, humor, romance, and great characters while solving and dealing with the bad guys. I almost felt sorry for Axel but defiantly not for Jeb. Enjoy...I know I did!! "I was gifted this ARC for an honest review"

After someone beats her father to a pulp, Gretchen, fresh out of Culinary School and interviewing for an important job, hightails it back home to find her father very badly injured and her own life threatened.  She has no idea what's going on and approaches her Alpha for help.  Told it will be taken up with the proper Sheriff, Talon Garde, appointed by the Pack Council to keep the strays in line, nothing is moving fast enough for Gretchen.  Taking the matter into her own hands, she goes out to track down Sheriff Garde.  Talon is suspicious of Gretchen, who hasn't gone through the proper channels, and he has no information to go on, except for what she tells him.  However, when Talon comes to the realization she is his fated mate, he's determined to keep her close, and any excuse will do.  The Alpha's Justice is a fluid, easy to read story; at times hilarious, at other times suspenseful, and at times downright hot!  Michelle Fox has done a great job combining the three with a solid plot and likeable characters. (Gifted an ARC for independent review)

Gretchen is out to find out who exactly beat up her father and no one is going to stop her, not even drop dead sexy Talon, the sheriff of the stray shifters in the area. Talon calls to her wolf, but Gretchen does not believe in mating after what happened with her parents. Can Talon convince her that their love is meant to be, and find out what is happening with her father? I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Gretchen was a only child. Her mother ran off when she was little leaving her to tend to her father. Her father being an alpha had to protect her and try to teach her the way to live. When she went off to college and then on to find a job leaving her father alone at home it was rough for her. She had friend that she could call when she needed to check on him but it wasn't the same. Especially when someone attacked him. Sheriff Talon was in charge of keeping track and control of outcast. These were shifters that were forced out of their packs for reasons. But when a fiery little woman busted into his office he was unsure of what to do or think. Gretchen told him her story and what she wanted. What followed was not at all what she thought would happen. Being that she had a phobia about romance and love and fated mates. She was in for a surprise

I received an ARC of this book for an honest opinion Gretchen just wants to be a chef and look after her father. She is distraught when she receives a call from her Alpha that her father has been attacked. She rushes home and is taken aback at her dad's feeble mental state. Sure he was forgetful,  but surely he would remember all this money he is supposed to owe out!! But the mystery of what money he owes is one not easily solved. She unearths some leads and heads off to speak to a neighbouring sheriff, Talon Garde.  One smell of Gretchen and Talon knows she is his mate. Big problem because Gretchen doesn't believe in mates, how could she after she and her dad were abandoned by her mother. The efforts Talon goes to to show Gretchen what he is to her are so  sweet. The bad guys are truly nasty and I loved their punishment - gives a whole new meaning to bound!! No spoliers here but the whole furries scene is hilarious! I can't wait for the rest of the series!

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This story is about Gretchen and Talon and their separate and shared journeys towards their HEA. Gretchen has left her pack to attend culinary school. She is extremely close to her dad, and respects her pack, however she doesn’t believe in “fated mates” or staying close to the safety of the pack. She is interested in a chef position a few hours away from her home and is interviewing when the story opens. And then life happens. Talon is the sheriff and oversees the “strays” in the area near the “big city”. Gretchen’s dad is in a bit of trouble and she heads out to meet Talon and find out, for herself, what happened. When Talon and Gretchen meet, their wolves take it upon themselves to nudge these two into a relationship – a “fated” one. The first line of the blurb describing the book is hilarious: “What’s an alpha to do when he’s found his fated mate, but she reacts to the news by kicking him in the b@lls?” Both Gretchen and Talon have to work thru issues and the problems with her dad in order to get together. I loved Talon, sometimes clueless, most of the time kind and thoughtful. Okay, and Ms. Fox wrote him as hawt. Gretchen is very conflicted and her internal journey is pretty rough. In the end, I truly enjoyed their story. Great job, Ms. Fox!

Do opposites attract? In this case they do..Talon and Gretchen make a good team despite her misgivings about them being fated and all. It was amusing to watch the claws come out during their earlier interactions. I loved the tension building up between them as well. I was also pleasantly surprised with a little twist, after Talon helped Gretchen with her father's issue, then something else happened soon after. And I couldn't believe who the culprit was. So I liked the fact that there was some suspense as well as some steamy action.I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I was gifted this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Gretchen & Talon are both determined to get what they want. Unfortunately, it isn't the same thing. She wants justice for her father, he wants her To get what he wants, and keep Gretchen close, he devises a plan to keep their people from being exposed to the human world that includes using Gretchen. Not realizing he's put her in the cross-hairs of a crazy human determined to expose shifters to the world. In the end, they both get what they want A good plot with lots of twists & banter between the two protagonists.

I love this book. there is a great sense of drama while twisting and turning. I hate books that are so typical but this one kept me guessing. Michelle is a marvelous writer and gives the story a sex feel while packing some punch. Over all a wonder read

What a great book.  I didn't want it to end.  I loved how Gretchen doesn't want anything to do with Talon as first.   How she make sure he knows it too.  He almost gives up on his fated mate but doesn't.  I couldn't help but laugh at certain parts & you will too.  I can't wait to see what else Michelle Fox comes up with. I was given this book for an honest review in my own words.  I was not compensated in any way.

The Alpha’s Justice by Michelle Fox        Gretchen has grown up in the wolf community and wants her chance to become a great chef in the outside world.  After finishing culinary school she gets her chance and nails it but then she gets a text from a mysterious number threatening her father and her father’s picture showing him beaten up. Nothing matters more to Gretchen than her father.  In a blink she is leaving the job interview and calling everyone she can think of back home to check on her father.  On her way home thoughts run wild.  Once home the local sheriff and the Alpha say they will look into the matter.  Not being one to sit idle by Gretchen contacts the rogue shifter sheriff herself.  He doesn’t seem concerned at first but there is just something about Gretchen that catches him off guard.  He has to stop and take a second look.  It seems he realizes he has found his mate only she is not interested and to get her interest he is going to have to help her solve what is happening to her Dad and why it is happening.  Michelle Fox has done a wonderful job of weaving a great story full of shifters; romance and action that once you start I don’t think you will want to put this one down.  This is one wild, hot read full of surprises.  Loved the story and all the action.   Read and find out what is cooking up back at Gretchen’s pack and how she winds right in the middle of it.  Bella Doerres  Ma/Ed

A great standalone story in the Huntsville Pack series This story is engaging, suspenseful and hot! Gretchen doesn’t believe in Fated Mates. Her mother ran off when she was young, which hurt her and her father very much. She has vowed not to fall in love let alone believe in the Fated Mates stuff. Talon is the sheriff responsible for overseeing a group of “strays” (werewolves banished from their packs) and one of them is responsible for hurting Gretchen’s father. When they first meet, Talon instantly recognizes Gretchen as his mate but she wants no part of him. The ensuing struggle between the two of them is quite entertaining. They end up working together to overcome some huge obstacles and there are a couple of nice twists in the storyline. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Gretchen needs justice and she goes to the right place. Sheriff Talon Garde can handle all the strays thrown at him, can he handle Gretchen's disbelief in fated mates? This story has action, plot twists, and is spi-i-i-cy! It's also well written and sucks you into their world. If you like shifters you can't go wrong with this book. I was given this book for an honest review.

Gretchen Halbmond is a strong, independent she-wolf. When her father is attacked, she doesn't want to wait for the pack alpha so she seeks out the sheriff who's in charge, Talon Garde. Talon knows immediately that Gretchen is his mate, but she doesn't believe in such a thing. Gretchen decides to team up with Talon to investigate her father's attack and discovers there's a bigger, more dangerous problem than they realized. I really enjoyed this book. The storyline has a great mix of exciting action, steamy romance and some unexpected twists that will make this book hard to put down. I enjoyed the chemistry between Talon and Gretchen. It was fun to see how hard Talon had to work to convince Gretchen that she was his fated mate. If you like shifter romances, you don't want to miss this book! (received an ARC for review)

This was an O.K. book, not my favorite. I just got sick of the lead female character's unwillingness to give it a chance. And how is it that her father's older kitchen is too outdated to prepare modern day cuisine(?). I don't even know why that rankled but it just did..................................................................................................................
