So bad!!! Like a Mexican novela! Badly written predictable and confusing. Don't bother with this one

I love this book. Such compassionate, smart writing, with vividly drawn characters. Even if you don't identify with the Amado Women, I'm sure there's a character in this book you will identify with. And, having grown up in Southern California, it's a pleasure to recognize familiar locales. In short, unputdowneable!
