This is basically a man's book. It is book one of two. There may be more later. It is pretty violent, with a good bit of gore. This novel is a military action book. I found it disturbing. My husband and adult son enjoyed it. The editing was just so-so. I read a mystery by this author and enjoyed it quite a bit. This book had cursing, sex, brutal violence, some religion, romance and dark humor. I am rating it four stars because the men in my life think that is a fair assesment. From a woman's viewpoint, I would rate it a two. For male, adult readers. AD
