The Army Doctor’s Wedding by Helen Scott Taylor This Army Doctor story was full of a lot of danger, self sacrifice, healing, adventure and love. Alice, a young lady in a war zone seeing a baby born, mother dies, and looking at the baby knows they will kill it as it has a deformed cleft lip. If a child was born they were destroyed. Her and other mothers had to run for safety. Alice feared for the baby’s life and wrapped it up, put it under her jacket and they left. She was getting so tired and stumbled, but turned her body in such a way the baby wasn’t crushed. An Army doctor found her and the baby lying in a field, and picked her and the baby up and got them into the helicopter and to the medical hospital to set her broken arm. Alice was separated from the other three mothers running, but they also were picked up and taken to the hospital. There is so much that happens in this story, but don’t want to spoil it for anyone. I know you will enjoy this story. It is well written and so love the imagination and skill the writer had in writing this. I highly recommend it.
