Gr 6-10-A history of the writing and ratification of this important document. Additionally, the book includes the text of the Articles, a list of the signers, source notes, and a four-page time line. Feinberg fairly presents the limitations of the document and clearly describes the roles given to the executive departments, Congress, and the courts. Black-and-white reproductions of maps, portraits, and drawings supplement the text. There are some general surveys that have sections or chapters about the Articles, including Joy Hakim's fine From Colonies to Country (Oxford, 1993).
