The story starts off at the family bakery where Bree is happy as this is one of her favorite holidays especially when you mix in the "magical part".Every year Bree waits in anticipation to see who crosses paths with their true love. Her problem is that since she has not herself found love, she can't use her magic which sometimes is needed to give 'true love" that extra push. The description in the story makes you feel as if you are right there in Maine along side Bree and her family. The characters are well written and you can't help but fall in love with the bakeshop. I received this book free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this magical book and highly recommend it.

Moonbright, Maine reminds me of the town from Hocus Pocus. It's perfectly Fall themed and makes me want to curl up with a nice soup and pumpkin spice latte. I really enjoyed the 3 novellas and how they all tied together with the town and fall atmosphere, etc. My critique is that they all seemed too short. I wanted more details and backstory and growth. Bree and Caleb from the first story Sweet Magic was my favorite story of the 3. Bree was desperate to have the magic her family had seemed to inherit which could help their customers find love. Apparently, she couldn't use the magic because Bree herself hadn't found love. Interesting concept that I haven't seen before! I found it really sweet and they had a little bit more drama than I've seen in recent books by the same author so that was nice because it added some suspense to an otherwise very cute story.

I loved this charming anthology of stories centered around a lovely small town in fall. This book has the fall introduction we are all carving with wonderful fall foods, descriptions of fall seasons and wonderful touch of magic in each story. I loved it and never wanted it to end. This book begins with the perfect intriguing fall cover and opens the world of fall in New England for the reader. Thank you to the publisher and to Net Galley for the opportunity.. My review opinions are my own. Its autumn in Moonbright, Maine and the leaves are turning to brilliant colors the pumpkin pie's scent practically jumps out of the pages and the featured bakeshop is featuring hard to resist autumn desserts. The bakeshop is the center of these three stories . Sweet Magic by Donna Kauffman is the first book introducing the setting of Bellaluna's Bakeshop. The next story is Love Spells Disaster by Allyson Charles which also features autumn treats with a touch of magic. The next is Sweet on You by Kate Angell. Each story features the bakeshop and wonderful charcters. I loved this set of stories that are entrancing to read and take you to all the beauty of fall in New England. I highly recommend these stories for your reading enjoyment.

This is a sweet anthology with three authors. I asked for a NetGalley advanced readers copy because I'm a fan of Donna Kauffman's worlds. I've never read Allyson Charles or Kate Angell before and I looked forward to that. All three stories are set in a small town who embodies Halloween year round. The holiday itself is a huge town wide celebration with a parade and celebrations. Kauffman's story, Sweet Magic is about Bellaluna's Bakeshop that's owned by a family of true love magic makers. They imbue love's magic into special batches of cookies they offer to individuals they feel are mates. Her heroine is Bree who has not come into her magic yet, much to her frustration. When she meets Caleb Dimitriou her life changes. He's come to town to take over his uncle's restaurant while his uncle is on his second honeymoon. I loved the crafting of their time together and falling into their HEA. Allyson Charles' Love Spells Disaster was a sweet story of finding love where you're not looking. Cassandra is turning over a new leaf and trying to get her boring, steady boss to fall in love with her. He's everything opposite of what she's been attracted to in the past. She's desperate enough to try love spells that never work. Handiman Chip Gneiss walks into the insurance office just in time to give her the Heimlich when she chokes on one of Bellaluna's special cookies. He takes time to help her build her haunted house for the celebration. This is a sweet story of finding love right in front of you. Kate Angell's Sweet on You was a delightful surprise. Lara Shaw is having a very bad day when she gets dumped by her boyfriend, has her rent raised and is on the verge of being laid off of work. On top of that the best costume just went up at the town's costume shop and she can't afford it as she can't pay rent. The Mayer Jack Hansen sees her distress and crafts a job for her at City Hall as the Events Coordinator. He is a few years older than Lara and was the high school hockey star in their youth. He's had his eye on her for years and now is the time to spend time with her to explore their chemistry. I really liked this story and the character Edna Milner almost stole the story with her cranky demeanor and nick naming everyone in town. This was a great story of taking time to look into people's hearts. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I love fall when the weather begins to turn cooler and the leaves begin to change. "The Bakeshop at Pumpkin and Spice" definitely put me in the mood for Halloween. In Moonbright, Maine, Halloween is a huge deal. The shops go all out with decorations in which adults and children alike dress up. There is even a huge parade. The three stories included in this book have lots of Halloween magic and even some in the tune of Bellaluna's Bake Shop where you may be given the magical treats where love could be in the air whether you are ready or not. I loved the stories and the way they tied together. If you like a sweet romance that will have you wanting to get the pumpkins and skeletons out and sit out on the porch with a pumpkin spiced latte, this is a book to read. Even try the yummy recipes included.

This is a review for Sweet Magic part of this anthology. Stories about cooking/baking are some of my favorites and I knew I was in for a treat with this novella by Donna Kauffman. I instantly fell in love with Moonbright and Bellaluna's Bakeshop. Family traditions or histories can be so powerful and influence our actions and both Bree and Caleb felt the pull to do the right by their families. This story reminds you that you should listen to your heart and follow the magic to your happily ever after, even if there are obstacles in your way. Full of humor, touching moments and a little heat, it's a quick read to start your fall season. Usually holiday books are my favorite, but this story has led to a new love of fall themed stories

3 wonderful and charming stories that gets the reader in the mood for Autumn. It's wonderful how in sync the stories are and that they flow together so seamlessly.

This was a lovely compilation of stories that brought the phrase happily ever after to life in the best possible way. Each tale has a story filled with the holiday spirit, warm characters and magical happenings. I loved the way each author weaved a sweet tale of romance and had magic jumping off the page and into my heart. My favorite of the tales was the story of Bellaluna's Bakeshop and how the young baker tried her hardest to bring her own magic to life. She so wanted to make her magic happen and worried that it never would. When a new man comes to town and has her magic working for the first time she isn't sure what to make of it. The two dance around the feelings that seem to come to life between them and it looks as if things may not work out. Dive in and see if the magic that has come alive between them brings a romance like no other to life. I will definitely be reading.more from each of these authors!!!

Sweet Magic by Donna Kauffman This is a beautiful fall anthology with the talented works of Donna Kauffman, Allyson Charles, and Kate Angell. The first story is Sweet Magic by Donna Kauffman. In the magical town of Moonbright, Maine, Abriana aka. Bree, and her grandmother, Sofia own Bellaluna's Bakeshop. There is more than just sweets being made in this bakery. Handed down through the generations is a dose of magic that gives love a helping hand. Bree is sorely disappointed because she has not had the magical occurrence happen to her, as of yet. Being assured by her loving grandmother, Sofia that all happens in its own time, Bree feels certain her time has come when Caleb walks into the bakery. Caleb and Bree notice the sparks from the beginning. Caleb has come to Moonbright to run his Aunt and Uncles restaurant while they are away on the "honeymoon" they never had. Unfortunately, there is something more going on because the restaurant has not been open for business. With the help of Bree, Caleb starts looking for answers. Will the magical power of love withstand whatever comes their way? This is a beautiful story with a mix of magic, laughter, and a touch of sadness. Author Donna Kauffman has continued to weave her own magic with her wonderful writing! Loves Spells Disaster by Allyson Charles Cassandra Hie, Aka. Cassie wants to go out with her boss, Samuel, who strictly goes by the rules. Stopping in at Bellaluna's Bakery, Sofia questions Cassie about the man she is attracted to. Finding this somewhat strange, Cassie tells Sofia about Samuel's qualities. Sofia gives Cassie two of their "magical cookie's" to help love along. Unfortunately it isn't Samuel who eats the cookie but a customer to buy life insurance. Chip Gneiss is enthralled by Cassie from the first meeting. Will the "love spell" work its magic or will love find its way on its own? This is a beautifully written story that shows love will strike when you least expect it. Sweet on You by Kate Angell This is the first story that I have read by this wonderful author and it will definitely not be my last! With the annual Moonbright Halloween Parade looming in the near future, Mayor Jack Hanson is having to handle all of the details. During his Coffee break at Bellaluna's Bakery, Jack runs into Lara Shaw. Lara is trying to figure out her next move after her boyfriend broke up with her. Sitting in Bellaluna's Bakery, she notices Jack as he enters. As she gets lost in her thoughts of the past, Jack approaches her table with a plate of the Italian Iced "Magical Cookies". Telling Jack the short version of the problems she is facing, her mood has lightened after he has left and made her promise to come by his office to let him know about her job search. True to her word, Lara stops by the courthouse and witnesses the many people there to give Jack their opinions on the annual Halloween Parade. When the office is finally empty, Jack hires Lara as his event planner. It seems Lara's day has gotten brighter since her visit to Bellaluna's Bakery. Has the beautiful magic, that Bellaluna's is famous for, given a slight push to bring this awesome couple together? This three story collection is a beautiful and magical read as Fall approaches!

A unique compilation of 3 fun autumn set romances. Living in Florida where Autumn is non-existent I loved visiting Moonbright, Maine and getting lost in talk of leaves, Halloween and romance. The three authors did a good job in integrated the stories with 3 unique couples. I received an advance reader copy via Netgalley.

The Bakeshop at Pumpkin and Spice is a collection of three loosely connected stories. The people of Moonbright, Maine celebrate Halloween in a big way. The Bakeshop is a local favorite and a few people know about the possibilities that might arise when the right person samples the right treat. The result can be magical. This was a fun, light collection that I can recommend to fans of Contemporary Romance, a hint of magic, and fans of Donna Kauffman, Kate Angell, and Allyson Charles.

The following review is for Donna Kauffman's story in the anthology "The Bakeshop at Pumpkin and Spice" titled SWEET MAGIC Moonbright, Maine corners the market (literally) for all thinks Pumpkin and Spice, from the actual street corner where you can find Bellaluna's Bakeshop, to the largest pumpkin patch that draws the tourists to the coastal town to enjoy the Halloween happenings that can't be matched! The whole town pulls out their best for their Halloween festival, including a parade with Pumpkin queen and all...and if there feels to be a bit of magic in the air..those none the wiser may be in for some unexpected romance. Bellaluna's Bakeshop just might have a hand in it as the women of Bellaluna's have a bit of it on their side. One cookie is all it takes, and every year these talented women have had a hand in the match making. Abriana Bellaluna O'Neill (Bree to her friends), but really, who would want to shorten her name; is hoping this is the Halloween that she comes into hers. Like her mother, and grandmother before her, and on and on; magic has been part of the female line. Sophia her grandmother, and owner of the shop is pretty sure this will be the year..You see, (she has her "own" way of knowing!), even if Bree doubts it. All it takes is one special Italian iced cookie and romantic sparks will fly. As the baker in this family owned shop, Bree is not so sure, especially if the latest "batch" of her "special" cookies is to be believed..and after one taste, she is ready to scrap the whole sheet. Just as a tall dark and gorgeous professorial specimen of masculinity walks into her kitchen, alas she can't move fast enough to be rid of them! Apparently, the nephew of the family owned Italian restaurant down the street has come from Philadelphia to help run the restaurant while his aunt and uncle have whisked off to a long over due honeymoon to Greece, Sophia advises Bree. Coming from a large Greek family who own many a restaurant there, this will be the new manager temporarily, and maybe if he's lucky will play his hand at cook. Well one look at Caleb Dimitriou and Bree never wished so much for one great cookie in all her life as right this moment! Sugar and spice and Italian cream aren't the only thing coming to a boil to be sure!

Omg, when I saw a book about autumn romances, I knew I had to read it. I love everything autumn; cooler weather, leaves turning, and most important, pumpkin spice lattes! I LOVED this book & I loved that it had a Good Witch vibe to it. All the stories center around Bellaluna's Bakeshop. First up is Sweet Magic. Donna Kauffman's Abriana (love that name! & she is also the granddaughter to Sofia Bellaluna, who owns the bakeshop) and Caleb knew they were fated to be together the minute they met. But is it cookie magic or is it the real thing? I love Donna Kauffman's stories. Always full of great romance and this story does not disappoint. The next story is Love Spells Disaster by Allyson Charles. This is a new to me author. Cassie and Chip are just adorable. They met in an unusual way. Cassie was choking on one of the cookies she had just bought at the bakery, convinced they would help Samuel (her boss) notice her. Instead Chip, a potential insurance client, gave her the Heimlich and saved her life. Franca, Cassie's coworker, was absolutely hilarious. I liked her just as much as Cassie and Chip. Will she give up the spells on Samuel to notice her and return Chip's love? The final story is Sweet On You by Kate Angell. This is another new to me author. Lara is having a bad day! First, she gets dumped by her boyfriend Glen at Bellaluna's. What a jerk! He tells her that she is ordinary & fat in front of everyone so that he can date another woman. Then her landlord raises her rent & she may soon be jobless. Her high school crush Jack, who is now mayor of Moonbright, Maine, comes over and offers her a cookie, courtesy of Sofia. Will Lara's days get better? If you liked The Good Witch or Halloweentown, you will enjoy these stories. And now I have two new authors whenever I need a romance fix! And I will be drinking a pumpkin spice latte. Thank you to Netgalley and Kensington for the copy. All opinions expressed are my own.

Three blended stories warm with romance celebrate the Halloween season in Moonbright, Maine. On the hottest day yet in Cincy, I felt a crisp breeze enwrap me as I raced through the pages, inhaled the scent of spiced lattes, savored the anise-sugar cookies from the Italian bakery, swooned as three couples fell deeply in love. I was transported to this small town rich with All Hallows’ Eve cheer, sexy coupling and laughter aplenty. A delightful read I did not want to end! 5/5 Pub Date 27 Aug 2019. Thanks to the authors, Kensington Books and NetGalley for the review copy. Opinions are mine. #TheBakeshopAtPumpkinAndSpice #NetGalley

I enjoy these anthologies where the stories are written around a specific theme. All three of these stories take place in Moonbright, Maine, the Hallowe'en Capital of the U.S. They also have Italian Cookies play a role in the story, and of course they are all romances. This was an enjoyable book with two new authors to me. I enjoyed all three novellas, but liked Love Spells Disaster by Allyson Charles the best, perhaps because there were some secrets and angst involved in it. I loved how there was a little bit of magic in each of these stories, but it did not overwhelm. These were sweet stories of love with each of the women being a bit shy, yet rather sassy when attraction begins. The banter between the two main characters in each story was funny and had me smiling. The supporting characters were also entertaining. With each story being a novella or short story, there was not a lot of time to develop characters, yet that did not seem to be an issue. Each story had me smiling as I watched the attraction grow between the characters. Yes, it was instalove and that is not my favourite trope, but it worked well with these three delightful stories.

Book 1: Sweet Magic With the help of missing money, a bit of fate and a bit of magic Caleb and Bree find themselves falling for each other. This was a sweet quick small town story that gave me the perfect ending. Book 2: Love Spells Disaster Cassie believes she has found the man meant for her however her head and her heart seem to have a difference of opinions in the form of Chip. The man she feels is all wrong for her. The story was a quick read that gave me a few chuckles a cute love story. Book 3: Sweet on You Lara is having a bad day, her boyfriend dumped her, her rents going up and shes going to lose her job at the end of the season. Along comes Jack, Mayor of Moonbright along with a little magic and things suddenly take a turn for the better. This book was written by one of my go to authors when I'm in the mood for something guaranteed to make me smile. This story was everything I expected. Short, sweet and enough humor to get a giggle out of me.

I knew I would be reading The Bakeshop at Pumpkin and Spice after reading The Cottage on Pumpkin and Vine, and really enjoying it. The two books, and I’m hoping they continue to write one every year, take place in the same town of Moonbright, Maine and have characters and locations in the town that interweave between the three stories in each book and between the two books. This is such a fun idea, and it’s interesting to see the different writing styles between all the different authors. Both books have Kate Angell writing a story in it, but the other two authors, Donna Kauffman and Allyson Charles, are new to the series. Kauffman has the first story, Sweet Magic, in The Bakeshop at Pumpkin and Spice and I was a bit concerned. Out of the three stories in this book and the three in The Cottage on Pumpkin and Vine, hers was my least favorite. It was well edited and it flowed nicely, but there was too much repetition in regards to one of the main character’s uncle’s restaurant. Romance novels are known for their repetition when it comes to the main characters continually wondering if they should be together or talking themselves out of getting together. So I’ve come to accept this, and if an author doesn’t use that storyline in their book I am super happy. Unfortunately, I found myself skimming a lot of Kauffman’s contribution to the story collection. Allyson Charles’ story, Love Spells Disaster, was a fun nod back to one of the stories in The Cottage on Pumpkin and Vine with handymen being hired to get the cottage ready for the huge annual Halloween party. This time it was just one handyman, Chip, and he was building a maze in Cassie’s driveway. Charles had a nice amount of nods to the town, its people, and to the previous book. And the sexual tension and sex scenes in this book were turned up a notch from Kauffman’s story. The last story, Sweet on You, by Kate Angell was the star of the book. She weaved together characters and locations expertly from the other stories in The Bakeshop at Pumpkin and Spice, as well as from, The Cottage on Pumpkin and Vine. You can really see her love and dedication to this series. Out of all the stories this is the one with the synopsis I enjoyed the most. Lara is curvy and a bit unsure of herself. Jack is the mayor who use to be a hockey player in high school. And although Lara and Jack rarely talked back then, he noticed her, and wished they had. So. Darn. Sweet. Throw in some sizzling sexual tension and hot sex scenes and it was a wonderful story that had me tear up a time or two. With cooler weather coming to where I live this was the perfect time to read it. Although with all the magical realism in the book, you may want to wait until it’s closer to Autumn or Halloween. Just make sure to go and buy the book now!

Fall is my favorite season of the year and these three novellas just get me more excited for fall to arrive. The three stories are see in Moonbright, Maine and are centered around the fall festivities near Halloween. There is a family owned bakery, Bellaluna's Bakeshop that the stories all have in common, that has love in the air that offers a little magic from baked treats. Three magical couples that find their HEA. I must say though, Edna was my favorite character out of all them. So, pick up your pumpkin latte and start reading!!

The Bakeshop at Pumpkin and Spice by Donna Kaufman, Kate Angell, and Allyson Charles is a delightful trilogy of Fall/Harvest/Halloween themed romance novels that literally warms your heart and brings you to those fall, crisp, amazing autumn days that I love so much no matter what your current climate is at this moment. This was an easy, relaxing read. I loved the appropriate, cozy, romantic couples and the compatibility that the authors were able to create. All in all a great read. 5/5 stars.

The three novellas in this book are centered around fall and Halloween. I read Sweet Magic by Donna Kauffman. Sweet Magic was a sweet, charming story with a little bit of magic thrown in...if you believe. The characters of Bree and Caleb fall in love at first sight. They don't think they can possibly have a future, because Caleb is leaving again. Will there be enough magic in their love to make it all work out? Such a delicious love story. Kauffman never disappoints! If Sweet Magic is any indication of what the other novellas are like, I can't wait to read them! I was given a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

Pumpkin Spice, apples, and all things autumn is all I can think about after reading The Bakeshop at Pumpkin and Spice by Donna Kauffman, Kate Angell, and Allyson Charles. I totally loved these three stories occurring in Moonbright, Maine. Kauffman and Angell have a tradition of creating towns I would love to live in; Charles was a new author to me. Bellaluna’s Bakeshop is a family owned business based on traditional recipes. It is a warm and welcoming place where legend has it that its treats offer heart-melting, spellbinding love, matching soul mates. In this anthology we have three couples who meet through sharing treats from Bellaluna finding a fated and everlasting love, a love that was not expected. These amazing stories by three talented story tellers were emotional, tender, sweet, and heartwarming tales not to be missed. Each story provided sexy banter, a little steam, confusion, conflict and enduring characters that were given a chance at having a solid, loving future together but also a wonderful community of support. I highly recommend The Bakeshop at Pumpkin and Spice to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Nothing better than getting 3 stories in 1 book! All three stories are tied to a wonderful Italian Bakery at the corner of Pumpkin and Spice in a small village in Maine. The first story introduces you to the Bakery and the two women than run it. The second and third stories introduces you to some of the patrons to the Bakery and how the Bakery fits into and changes their lives. Beautifully written, this was a fun and easy fast read. I fell in love with the characters and wanted to continue reading more about this magical place. It’s the type of story, that after reading, makes your heart smile. I definitely recommend this book. It’s a great Halloween read but can be read any time of the year. I will be reading more from these authors! Thank you #netgalley and #donnakauffman for giving me the privilege to read this wonderful book!
