I LOVE second chance love stories! Put that together with the author, Lucy Kevin/Bella Andre, and I know it is going to be a winner. I know that I will have a wonderful time escaping reality. The Barefoot Wedding is the 3rd book in the Married In Malibu series. It is a standalone book, and can most definitely be read by itself. However, it was really great catching up on some of the characters from the past books. When I started reading this book, I literally could not put it down. I did an all nighter reading it. I love an emotional book, and this one brought them all out. Let me start my review saying this, I wanted to smack Travis…repeatedly!!! How could this wonderful man be this stupid?!?! Amy LOVED you, you stupid jerk!!! Ok, I need to calm down. (Deep, calming breath) Ok, let me start over. This is a wonderful story of two people that fell in love. That is until Travis, the stupid jerk, did something “noble” and broke things off because he felt he was not good enough for Amy. Three years later they meet again. Both realizing that the feelings are still there, but Amy is afraid to trust Travis again. Travis and Amy are thrown together during wedding plans, and Amy starts to trust Travis again. When Travis…… Stop, no spoilers. I don’t want to give any thing away. Let me just say this. If you love a story that is highly emotional, from the main characters, as well as the secondary characters, YOU WILL LOVE this wonderful book. Thank you, Ms. Kevin/Andre for the wonderful hour of reading enjoyment you give to your readers. You are most definitely one of my jump out of reality saviors. Thank you for reading my review. Edit: My sincerest apologies Ms. Kevin. Life/time got away from me and I forgot to post this last month on release day.

Lucy Kevin (Bella Andre) brings the story to life as both Travis and Amy work through their own insecurities and their lost love of three years ago. Although a series, it is a standalone read with a lot of warmth, romance, and a bit of conflict added. A short (novella) for a fun afternoon, Travis and Amy's story is such a sweet romance that readers of all ages can enjoy it. I would like to thank the author for gifting me "The Barefoot Wedding". My opinion is my own. This is mine. 4.25 Stars!

This is a sweet tale of second chance love... Travis and Amy had a brief history, three years ago, and now they have been brought back together for a wedding. While the story was seemingly short, it have everything I've come to expert from a Lucy Kevin story. I very much enjoyed this story.

ARC for honest review with no compensation The Barefoot Wedding is book 3 in the Married in Malibu series and another sweet romance! Travis and Amy were a couple until he decided he wasn't good enough for her and broke her heart. She left and moved across the country to mend her broken heart. Now Amy is back in town for her cousin's wedding and who does she run into but her lost love, Travis. She is determined to not fall for him again but the heart wants what the heart wants... Will these two find that sometimes meeting up again can be your second chance at a forever love or does Travis still believe he will never be good enough for Amy and break her heart completely?

We've read stories about best friends doing things to help their best friend, but this third book in the Married in Malibu series definitely takes a great twist. Our Hero, Travis, does something "heroic" in the first try at a relationship with his heroine, Amy. They both end up with broken hearts that can't seem to mend without the other. A "chance" encounter brings them back together...will things change so they can achieve their HEA the second time around?

I loved this sweet story of how two people, who come from different worlds, can find their way back to each other. Amy and Travis met and fell in love three years ago. Trying to mend her broken heart, Amy tried to move on with her life. They meet again when Amy goes to Malibu for her best friends wedding - and Travis happens to head the security at the venue. The chemistry is still apparent between them! The road to a second chance is bumpy, but worth it in the end.

Sweetly emotional, action packed and engaging second chance romance filled with drama, laughs, great friends and undeniable passion.... really enjoyed this page-turning read. Travis Houston and Amy Woodford have been brought back together by fate and her best friends wedding put together by the crew at Married in Malibu where Travis is head of security..... The witty banter, obvious chemistry, love and laughter are just a few of the things that make this romantic journey highly entertaining.

Best quote: "When it turns out the truth is that loving someone, truly loving them with everything inside you, means getting over your own fears so that you can give them every piece of your heart. Even when it’s hard, even when it’s scary. Especially then." My opinion: It isn’t the typical second change love story you are used to. It’s more a story about the willing to love and overcome your own barriers. Love isn’t judgmental, you are only doing to yourself. Will I ever be enough? The Barefoot Wedding gives the answer, yes you are enough, just the way you are! I loved to read about the friendship between Amy and Maya. What a special thing she did for her friend! And I am in love with the Malibu wedding venue and the Married in Malibu series. What a beautiful and heartwarming place is that! Luckily for us there will be much more weddings to come. 4 stars The Barefoot Wedding by Lucy Kelvin (Bella Andre) finds place at the beautiful Malibu Wedding venue. You can’t imagine a more perfect place for weddings, and for love. The story of Travis and Amy is exactly about that and I loved it!

This is the first Married in Malibu book that I have read and I really enjoyed it. Amy and Travis knew each other three years earlier but Travis' past held him back from really trying to make it work with Amy. It becomes apparent quickly that neither of them were ever really over the relationship. When Amy's friend Maya gets married, Maya orchestrates her plans to help her friend find her true happiness. I love how Amy and Travis' story gets interwoven with Maya's happily ever after with Nolan. As with any relationship, Amy and Travis' ups and downs ultimately make them a stronger couple as they find their happily ever after. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

4 STARS FOR THE BAREFOOT WEDDING!! Another great sweet quick read, in the Married in Malibu series. Travis and Amy get a second chance at romance and like all books by this author they are page flippers. If you are looking for a great book that is quick to read, here you go.

Loved this story. Travis doesn't think he deserves love and Amy never forgot him. Add in a best friend who plays cupid, a groom who needs an ear to talk to, and a gorgeous venue and you have a wonderful story.

The Barefoot Wedding is a heartwarming reunion romance from Lucy Kevin. I'm a huge fan of reunion romances, and adored Travis and Amy's story. Everyone has a past and Travis is no different. He unfortunately comes from a pretty ugly family history of abuse and gang members and feels like that history means he isn't good enough for someone as wonderful as Amy. Of course being a man, Travis never shared his reason for distancing himself from Amy 3 years ago; he just ended their relationship. Amy comes to Married in Malibu early to help make sure everything will be absolutely perfect for her best friend's wedding. She had no idea she would run into Travis yet I love she didn't back down once she found out he worked there. I loved that even though Travis didn't feel like he was good enough for Amy you could tell by his actions how much he still loved her. He went out of his way to help her further her art career and he really does have to fight himself much of the time to stay away. Yes Amy ran away to nurse her broken heart years ago, yet this time she is there to fight for the man she still loves. I really liked Travis and Amy as a couple. There was a sweetness about them and they really did just seem to get each other. They had wonderful chemistry together and I loved they really did seem to honestly be friends with each other as well as lovers. The Barefoot Wedding chemistry runs more on the sweet side of romance, and it was a truly satisfying story. I highly recommend both this story and the series to romance readers who enjoy sweet and heartwarming stories. Rating: 4 Stars (B) Review copy provided by publisher

Another amazing addition to the Married in Malibu series, i love Lucy Kevin. I love a second chance romance and this ticks all the boxes. Travis walked out of Amy's life, thinking he was doing the right thing. In the three years since he last saw her, there hasn't been a day go by that he hasn't thought about her. He can't believe his eyes when he sees her again, she s even more beautiful than when he last saw her. Amy's heart was broken, when the man she loves walks out on her. She never forgot him and no-one can measure up to him. Seeing him again after three years brings back all the hurt and heartbreak and a whole lot of love. This is a book i couldn't put down and kept me gripped from start to finish.

This short romance is very sweet and emotional. This is Travis and Amy's second chance for a HEA and there is a lot of baggage for them to work through. I liked these characters, their connection and chemistry. It is impossible not to feel for Travis once you learn his history.

Sweet, Sweet second chance love story at a beautiful beach wedding! How could you not love this story? Travis and Amy were perfect, then they weren’t. Travis pushed Amy away and they both suffered with the loss. Now years later they are thrown back together for a beautiful wedding of their best friends. How can they survive? True love always wins. And when it’s a Lucy Kevin story, it’s always going to be true love!!!!

Second chances, we all want them, and some are lucky enough to get them. Amy is the Maid of Honor for her best friend Maya and heads to Married in Malibu a destination wedding venue to make sure everything is perfect for the big day. Travis is the head of security for Married in Malibu, and although Amy has tried to sneak in by using a different name, Travis isn’t fooled. Travis and Amy have a history. Amy doesn’t understand why Travis broke up with her and she is still not over him. Travis doesn’t think he’s good enough for Amy and doesn’t’ want her to have to deal with his upbringing. Love triumphs! Seeing each other again reminds them how much they care for one another…sigh…I love happy endings. This book is by Lucy Kevin, the ‘sweet’ side of Bella Andre. If you’re in need of an easy read, with a wonderful story, and a very nice ending, pick this one up! There are two other books in the Married in Malibu series, but you do not have to read them to enjoy this one, although why wouldn’t you read the whole series?!? Enjoy.

I love second chance romances and Travis and Amy's story is wonderful. It is lighthearted but very believable. A terrific read.

Love gone wrong is so much sweeter the second time around. Amy and Travis are a testament, not to all the ways they got it wrong, but to all the work they did to get it right. The Barefoot Wedding is a celebration of the heartache and hard work that goes into getting it right. From stupid mistakes to fresh starts, love is an ever learning experience. Kevin digs deep into the flaws that make us destined to fail and determined to succeed in matters of the heart. The glory of love means finding the strength in forgiveness. A subtle read with a powerful message.

Breathtakingly beautiful! I was enthralled by the depth of The Barefoot Wedding, it held such emotion. A wonderful story that was written amazingly. I laughed and cried and felt as if I were right there with the characters. I wish everyone would read this book. A true romance.

The last thing she expected was to run into the one man who broke her heart. Amy is determined to make Travis see that he is the best for her. So enjoying this series and can’t wait for next installment!!!

A short but sweet love story!! This is a super sweet, charming and heartwarming second chance love story set in this very romantic wedding venue in Malibu. I love this series and was happy to get back to it. Travis and Amy were friends, good friends, until Amy pushed for more and Travis pushed her away. Amy left town heartbroken and they hadn’t seen each other in 3 years. Seeing each other again after all this time is difficult for both of them. After all, the time and distance didn’t erase the love. Can Travis get past the reasons he pushed Any away 3 years ago? Can Amy trust him with her heart and take a chance? Will they embrace their love and this amazing chance they’ve been given? This is definitely worth the read to find out.

Looking for a sweet romance that’s an easy read? Grab THE BAREFOOT WEDDING right now! Travis and Amy have a past and plenty of pain. It’s so fun watching them overcome their past and overcome their own barriers to happiness. Author Lucy Kevin (the “sweet” alter-ego of Bella Andre) wields a deft pen as she draws these characters. We sympathize with Amy and cheer the strength she finds not to run away. And we understand Travis (although we don’t agree with him). THE BAREFOOT WEDDING is the third in the Married in Malibu series. It’s not necessary to read the first two. But now I’m going to so I can catch up with the other couples!
