About the Author

Australian Bruce Davies, recipient of foreign awards for valor and service in Vietnam and in 1977 appointed a Member of the British Empire for his military service, saw operational service in South Vietnam in part of every year between 1965 and 1970. He is coauthor, with Gary McKay, of The Men Who Persevered: The AATTV, the Most Highly Decorated Australian Unit of the Viet Nam War.Jack Shulimson is the former senior Vietnam historian and head of the Histories Section, U.S. Marine Corps and History Division.
