Most Helpful Customer Reviews
A Berenstain Bears classic, one of the their best. The family goes on a vacation which Papa Bear expects to be rustic and fulfilling, while Mama a little more wisely expects to be challenging, if rewarding. When the berries turn sour, the cabin turns out to be filled with mice and leaves, the rowboat has a hole, and the wilderness stew is inedible, the Bears give up, return home, and then laugh at their memories and photos of just how ridiculous the whole situation turned out to be.
Berenstain Bears books are a great picture book for older, 3-5th grade readers, who like the look of a picture book but need the challenge of a larger, more complicated vocabulary and story line to read from. All have wonderful values and are great additions to any home or classroom library.
