About the Author

Ana lives just outside Washington, DC, with her very supportive husband and three rather demanding cats. She loves the ocean, Indian food, Ikea, and cooking. Before settling down as a writer, Ana was an elementary school teacher, a preschool teacher, a camp counselor, a waitress, a research assistant, a canoe tour guide, and one glorious summer during college she spent eight hours a day placing stickers inside library books so they would be part of the fancy new automated checkout system. She won't say which job she liked best.

Ana is a member of Romance Writers of America.

Reviewed by Karina Book provided by the publisher for review Review originally posted at Romancing the Book One fast, hot steamy read. Beth, is a wedding planner. She wants everything to be organized to make her clients experience the best wedding. But some best man named Colin comes into a wedding drunk, and she finds herself into a crisis. I love the lightness of the book. The story may not be original but I love the characters and how the story went. Beth is composed but when Colin comes into the picture, she finds herself swooning over him. Colin is a professor. He defines himself as nerdy and shy. But when he met Beth, he changed and became more outgoing. I love how Colin can be silly and funny. He may have some haste decisions but I love how he can be so persistent in what he wants. The attraction between them cannot be denied and I love them! You can definitely finish this in one sitting! The book captured my attention throughout. Recommended!

I love this book! It is one of those books that you just don't want to put down until you are done. The wedding planner and the best man's interactions at the wedding, grab you and drag you along through the book.  I can't wait to read this new author's next book.  Hope I won't have to wait long!

I smiled throughout this whole book. It just made me happy. Colin is like the perfect man. The only thing I would change in this book is we would get some of Beth’s back story as well. We got none. Why is she so scared of commitment? Why was she so scared to be in love? I want to know Why! Other than that, this book is a feel good romance novel with lots of smiles and hot love scenes. Colin’s character comes across as a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky type. Once all his history is revealed, it comes out that he’s normally the serious, quiet, responsible one. Beth avoids relationships (for some unknown reason), and is scared to fall for Colin. Only as he’s leaving does she realize that it’s too late, she’s in love. I really wish Beth would’ve given Colin what he wanted. He deserved to have her chase after him. For this being such a short story, I feel like a got a complete story (other than the back story). Ms. Blasé drew me into the story very well. I read nonstop until I finished the book. This is a nice book for relaxing for a couple of hours. It will leave you in a happy mood.

3.5 stars-fun and romantic storyline: REVIEW: THE BEST MAN is a contemporary romance storyline focusing on wedding planner Beth Chase and Colin Pratt-a self proclaimed quiet Scottish professor who, but for the quick actions of Beth, almost destroyed an entire wedding ceremony before it ever began. As the best man at his brother’s wedding, there is more to Colin than meets the eye. The storyline follows as Colin endeavors to apologize to Beth for his recent behavior at his brother’s wedding. A quick series of mishaps will force the couple together and out of guilt, Beth invites Colin to stay at her place for a few days. Colin and Beth are instantly attracted to one another, and Beth tries but fails, to keep Colin at arm’s length. Beth doesn’t do relationships-although we are not privy as to ‘real’ reason why- and Colin wants more from Beth than a couple of days of relaxation and fun- he wants forever. Colin is a man possessed-possessed by the need to be loved and find a woman who will accept him. There is plenty of humor as we watch Colin seduce his way into Beth’s bed on numerous occasions. Colin’s backstory is revealed and we learn that he really is the quiet, nerdy professor. And Beth-she is a strong, independent, successful woman, who is afraid to lose everything to the man who has stolen her heart. But she may be too late when she finally realizes that Colin is the man for her. THE BEST MAN is a fast paced, short story and humorous look at one week in the life of Beth Chase and Colin Pratt. From Colin’s first drunken stumble to his last declaration of love, he is the man who would find his way into Beth’s heart and her life. Ana Blaze has written a cute storyline that pulls you into the hectic life of a successful wedding planner who is reluctant to find love in a quirky Scottish professor. see all of my reviews at : thereadingcafe(dot)com
