Joe Pass is one the very best examples of the many possibilities of the jazz guitar. He was equally at home performing an acoustic guitar solo in the studio or a live electric guitar gig with a combo. His work is under-appreciated; check out any of his other disks for a broader picture. This album, however, give the jazz listener a fine introduction to his multi-faceted talents. Don't miss it.

Every jazz fan, and particularly those with a special interest in jazz guitar, needs to hear the work of the late Joe Pass. He was true master who did beautiful work with both electric and acoustic guitars. His remarkable ability to perform complex tunes solo, in itself, made his work unique. This CD is a fine introduction to his work. It's well worth the price to have this great artist represented in your collection.
