This compilation could have been so much better. First of all, no Little Feat "Best of" is complete without "Spanish Moon," maybe the best song that they have ever done. Looking at Little Feat's albums, "Sailin' Shoes" should have been represented by "Willin'," the title cut, and, arguably, "Easy to Slip." The cuts here from "Dixie Chicken" are the best representation of any of their albums, although "Two Trains" should have replaced "Fool Yourself." Here's where the wheels fall off. From the albums "Feats Don't Fail Me Now" and "The Last Record Album," we have only one song from each ("Oh Atlanta" from FDFMN and "All That You Dream" from TLRA) and they are the live versions from "Waiting for Columbus." From FDFMN, there is no "Spanish Moon," "Rock and Roll Doctor," or the title cut. TLRA should have also been represented by "Mercenary Territory" and "Long Distance Love." From "Time Loves A Hero," "Rocket In My Pocket" and "Old Folks Boogie" would have been better choices than the title cut and "Hi Roller." Without going any further, I think you get the picture. If you want a Little Feat "Best Of," get the import "As Time Goes By: The Very Best of Little Feat." However, why not start collecting the individual albums.
