Very frequently, my 10 year old son will tell me an odd or interesting or little-known fact. When I ask him if he learned that in school, he tells me he learned it in this book. He's had this book for almost a year and still reads it regularly. Excellent for an individual (whether a child or an adult) that doesn't like to read "chapter books" or that can only read for short periods of time.
My six year old son loves this book! He loves the snippits of information and the kid-friendly language and layout. He keeps it in the car and pulls it out every time we go for a drive - perfect. The pictures and easy size text also has my four old piqued with interest as well, as he tries to read what his brother is learning about. Great book. My sons both recommend it!
