110-mile an hour gale force winds set the stage for The Billionaire Playboy. Very unpredictable characters offset this standard story structure. Capt. Charlotte O’Brien is a working class U.S. Naval doctor; Jake Sherbrooke is the nation’s rich, playboy First Son. That’s where the predictability ends. With an ex-girlfriend trying to reconcile, a persistent reporter looking for a story and one misunderstanding after another, can these two mismatched lovebirds can make things work?
Although I do not normally read contemporary novels, I found myself greatly enjoying this one. With endearing secondary characters and a subtle romance, this is not to be missed.

I love this!! I read the whole book in about 4 hours. I couldn't put it down. If you think the first one is good you will really enjoy this one.
The story line never had an boring moment. It always keep you guessing. It was the friendship thar turned into a love story. The first book people play a rule inside this book as well.
Anyways, give it a chance you won't go wrong :-)

This 2nd book in the series I did not like. Besides being a boring story,the characters were lifeless with stifeling & repetetive dialogue. Skipped many pages. Waste of time & money. (Honest review)

Wow, I am spleechless. What a genuine, beautiful story. I would have loved to have read a little about Jake and Charlie's wedding but maybe we will get a little in Sara's story.

Jake is portrayed as the stereotypical spoiled, rich playboy which leaves Captain Charlotte "Charlie" O'Brien wanting nothing to do with him. Jake, on the other hand, finds her air of confidence and cool indifference intriguing. Jake, determined to put off the image the world has of him and truly help after a Hurricane blows through, digs in and gets his hands dirty, a fact not missed by Charlie. And that's when the fun begins.
The Good: This is the first time I have read a book by Christina Tetreault and I have loved every minute of it. These are the kind of characters I love to see ... strong-willed and determined to let nothing get in the way of them getting what they want out of life yet strangely hesitant when it comes to love. Both Jake and Charlie are good people. Flawed perhaps, but good. I liked that the storyline started right at the beginning of the book - no waiting around, hoping for the story to move on here. The rest of the story unfolded gently, a little at a time at just the right pace. The other characters moved in and out of the storyline seamlessly and the drama fit in just as it was meant to be. The Billionaire Playboy is an entirely enjoyable read!
The Bad: I didn't like the way that Charlie kept assuming the worst about Jake. I understood why but I didn't like it. Sometimes I wanted to just shake her too, for always trying to protect her heart. Again, Ms. Tetreault made it clear why Charlie felt the way she did but it went on a little long for my taste. Other than that, I have no other complaints. The book was very well done.
The Snuggly: The chemistry between Jake and Charlie was exciting. You could almost see the sparks! And it just kept building and building. I loved all of the sensual thoughts that kept running through each of their minds. It only served to turn the heat up, notch by notch. I'm serious! It made my mouth get dry and I kept getting a hitch in my breathing - and no, I don't have Asthma! lol It was just that hot. And all they had barely done was kiss. In public. In broad daylight. Wow! I was going to give this book a 2 in the Snuggly department but I just can't do it. Sitting here, thinking about it all again as I write, all those same feelings are coming back. Yeah, it was that good. Oh and the s.e.x.? Hehehehe....just you wait!;)
The Rest: In a nutshell, I loved this book. I love the characters, especially Charlie and Jake and I loved their relationship. I would not hesitate to re-read this book either. The story has enough of a 'suspended in time' feeling that it would not get old. I would say it is for ages 18 and older due to the intimacy and the depth of the feelings and emotions involved but otherwise it is a clean,well-written book. Romance readers will love it!

Disaster
A hurricane brought the two of them together. Jake is a billionaire and runs a foundation that helps towns restart after disasters. Charlie is a doctor helping her home town. They meet but can they make out work.

I like that this book is soft core where steaminess is concerned, it is very good where romance is concerned, i liked the lead male in this book, The female had multiple issues, she eventually overcame them and ended up marrying her Prince Charming!

The Billionaire Playboy by Christina Tetreault is a great read. This is a fairly short read, perfect for those with limited time for reading. Ms Tetreault has delivered a well-written book. The characters are fantastic. Charlotte (Charlie) and Jake's story is stuffed with drama, action, humor and sizzle. I totally enjoyed this book and look forward to my next read by Christina Tetreault. The Billionaire Playboy is book 2 of The Serbrookes Of Newport Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
