This one didn't keep my attention as well as the previous two books, which is sad since it's the last book in the trilogy. I expected Violet to really come into her own during this book. She needed to, but I don't feel like she did. In ways, I feel she caused more harm than good, and that was disappointing. There was all this build up through most of the story, and I was expecting something big to go down. But it all fell a little flat for me in the end. I mean, all the loose ends that I can thing of were tied up, but I guess the ending just felt too rushed to me. I almost feel like I missed something, it all happened so fast. I don't know. I can't put a finger on it. Something still feels unfinished though.

I loved it, same as the others but it left me feeling unsettled. Too many unknowns. Yes, what about their mom's? What about the other paladin? Did they get to see over the wall? The society? Well? I could go on as she should have either in the Black Key or a new book (NOT A NOVELLA).But I really did love it. Would've given 5 stars. It's 3 & a half stars.

The final book was amazing, completely with the read, and I just wish it wasn't over.

I loved all three of the books in this trilogy, and the two novellas. All of the stories kept me interested throughout. I read all of the books in about 2 weeks!
