But when Kasia, one of Skylar’s sisters, goes missing, Skylar emerges from hiding and infiltrates Ladon’s clan’s fortress in Ben Nevis, Scotland, to rescue her—only to find that Kasia is not a captive at all, but is actually mated to Ladon’s closest ally. Despite her skill, Skylar is quickly discovered by Ladon who is drawn to her strength, beauty, and the opportunity to arrange a marriage that could provide both political and tactical advantage in the brewing dragon war.
