The Blue Curtain is such an amazing book about love, heartbreak, magic and so much more. I would recommend this if you enjoy reading fantasy cause you will love this story. For the first half or so of the book the story is told as two different stories. The one story takes place hundreds of years ago. The story is about Mitchell who is part of a royal family who starts a war between his family and the family of the girl he loves. The other story takes place in present time. It is about Emily, a seemingly normal teenage girl who thinks her parents have no time for her. Her father tells her where he hid her birthday gift but not to open it until her birthday which is still months away. Soon after her father is murdered and Emily is on a quest to find out who murdered her father and bring them to justice. She also decides that she can't wait months to open her birthday gift. What she finds surprises her and will ultimately propel her into a world that she never knew existed. The second half of the book is where the two stories start to come together. It gets very interesting and exciting. There are twists and turns throughout with so much left to be desired. The story is well written and you will find yourself engulfed in the lives of Mitchell and Emily. I cannot wait until the next book comes out. This book was provided to me for review. This did not affect my review in any way.
