Stacy put off finishing college, and her plan to find a job in a big city, to care for her niece and two nephews. After a year, Stacy insists her brother hire a nanny.
Starting her own life again is complicated by Sam Phillips, a construction worker with a secret about his work life. He's the first man she had met that made her body want to change its status from a virgin to a lover. Stacy's journey from a small town girl of 21, to a courageous, confident woman, takes her from Texas, to the Bahamas, Colorado, and California.
Along the way, she finds that during a crisis, she and her girlfriends will always have each other's back.

About the Author

I've raised and chased pigs, vaccinated cows and bottle-fed calves. I've baled hay, planted crops, and rode a Tennessee Walking horse. Some favorite activities were coon hunting at night with our blue-tick hounds and coyote hunting early mornings after a snow. Making homemade chocolate ice cream using my mother-in-law's recipe with cream from their cow. Our daughter raced her horse around barrels and our son raced motorcycles through creeks.

I've played cow-pasture pool, caught catfish with my mom's homemade stink bait, played drums in a band and keyboards other times. I've tied fishing lures at Bass Busters and worked in an airplane tire manufacturing plant. I was high scorer in basketball and the pitcher for softball. I have the softball the team signed for me when we won the championship game.

I was Appassionata von Climax in the community theatre play 'Li'l Abner' and other roles over 27 years. I've won awards for costumes, music, stage manager, and props in 30 plus plays. After 17 years, I earned a BBA at Baker University.

I've written books, articles, and four family genealogy books. I've been published a few times and won some awards for stories and poems.

I chose to use my father's mother's name Lilac Jones for my pen name. The 1940's census listed her occupation as Authoress and her education as 8th grade.
