'The Boat Who Wouldn't Float' is a story that belongs in every sailor's library. Farley Mowat is the Garrison Keillor of salt water. His style and humor will please all readers. This book makes a nice gift for anyone, boater or landlubber.

It is rare that a book has the capability of making me laugh out loud, but this one does the trick. I can barely contain myself. READ THIS BOOK!!

As a sailboat owner and lover of stories about people and their boats, I found this book to be everything one could want in a book about a sailing adventure. Mowat's book is very funny, extremely well written, and downright interesting. The bonus is getting to learn so much about Newfoundland and her people. I didn't want this book to end and forced myself to ration pages on the last two days of reading.

I can't believe that no one has written a review of this book yet. Can I really be the first? Many years ago my husband and I read this book aloud to each other in the evening. We would start laughing before we could get the words out. Speaking of words, you need to have a dictionary (a good one) with you while you read as the author has an incredible vocabulary. A really enjoyable book .
