This diet is simple enough and a very healthy way to drop pounds. If you don't already eat fruits and veggies you will get your fair share and if you already do eat those things then the transition is no problem. You can still have some snacks and after the first phase a meal or two in addition to smoothies. They biggest struggle with this diet is that after the first week/10 days I got sick of the smoothies and when it was time to eat one I found myself just getting through half before not wanting to finish and that was my meal. Even with the crunchy snacks you will crave chewing a meal. But it's well rounded nutrition so I can't complain. Also cleaning my blender 3 times a day got annoying during those first few days when you use it all the time. After that it wasn't as often.

This was a great way to reboot my body.  Definitely worth it!   I'm not someone who follow "diet trends" or believes in the miracle fix for my body, but when I heard about this book I was really intrigued.  I'd been in a bit of a food & exercis rut - not eating terribly, but just feeling sluggish, inconsistent trips to the gym and like I needed a change.  I'm not a fan of any diet that doesn't allow you to eat certain foods (like fruit!) or cuts out my essentials (coffee!), so when I heard about Harley's plan I decided to give it a try. I think the biggest surprise was not only how delicious the smoothies are, but also the fact that I genuinely didn't feel hungry, which was one of my biggest fears.  You can have snacks, enjoy your coffee and even have popcorn.  It really opened my eyes to adding better foods to my diet (Greek yogurt vs. regular, Almond Milk and flax), which left me feeling so much better.  I tend to be a stress eater and will graze all day, but his plan is very manageable, gave me the ability to plan ahead, and kept me fulfilled. I'm much more conscious of the food I'm eating and while I still enjoy treats, it's helped me look at how and what I eat differently.  He also has some great tips for new exercises, meals and a very positive philosophy on staying healthy and in shape - it's not about starving yourself or working out to huge extremes. It's about a consistent eating plan and staying active and allowing yourself "free"  time where you can enjoy treats, alcohol, etc. I did a pretty good job of following the 15-day plan. My job made it hard for me to meet the 10,000 steps a day part of the process (I bought the pedometer which has been very enlightening).  But I'm doing my best to stay active and work the physical part in as best I can.  I didn't see a dramatic weight loss (though didn't expect to), but would say I probably lost a few pounds.  And while it would have been great to lose a few more (let's be honest here...), I will say the mental shift has been a big accomplishment for me and I'm much more open to newer/healthier foods and integrating them into my diet.   Thank you, Harley!  Great book. I'd highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a reboot or reset!  And I'm past my 15 days and still enjoy the smoothies as meals and as snacks!  I think the Apple Pie is my favorite.  It's as delicious as it sounds.

On a positive note, this diet may make you more aware of what you are eating, how active you should be and you will lose a few pounds but overall I wouldn't recommend this book or diet.  The smoothies taste average to terrible and are high maintenance.  No matter what the author claims, it took much, much longer than five minutes to prepare smoothies and the meals, and cleaning the blender got very tiresome.  I work from home so I had some flexibility with my time but to be honest I have no idea how anyone with a full time job away from the home would have time to follow this diet.  Between the three smoothies, snacks, eventually preparing the meals suggested and fitting in the 10,000 steps and later the resistance circuits, it was all very high maintenance.  The book is not very well written and a little disorganized so often one is reading and rereading to ensure that the smoothie ingredient substitutions you wish to make, are correct, for example.  Very disappointing.

After losing a much needed 18 pounds using "The Hungry Chick Dieting Solution," I wanted to find a way to keep that weight off but still eat the way the book taught me. I used to struggle to lose even five pounds, so to lose this much weight, I am not trying to go back to where I used to be. That's why I am so glad that I found the Body Reset. While I don't agree with everything in the Body Reset, the smoothies have been a great addition as my mid-morning and my mid-afternoon snack. After a week, this book has been a welcomed addition to a new, healthier me.

I will start by saying that I should have known better. The book is vague and all the information is information you already know. What I didn't like is that the premise of losing weight by drinking smoothies and walking 10,000 steps a day would actually result in dramatic weight loss. Not so. I tried it for 5 days and I will say that the recipes for the smoothies were great and I felt really good (especially with my digestive system) I lost water weight. What was frustrating was the days that followed. Vague eating information (outside of smoothies) that direct you back to his original book. Buy it for the smoothie recipes and some exercise suggestions, not anything else.
