About the Author

I am a 42 year old mother from Sydney Australia, with a 9 year old son. I have always had a passion for reading, which helped to inspire me to write my first romance novel, My Destiny. The follow up book in the Destiny series is My Forever. I am currently writing my third book, which is a stand alone, and will available later this year.

I am happily married, and my husband, son, extended family and my pets are my life. I'm blessed to have great family and friends and a good support network. My hobbies are: Reading of course, writing, shopping, cooking and spending time with my family and friends.

I love writing about romance, because I believe that all love stories are beautiful and I'm also a sucker for happy endings. The thing I love most about writing is that no matter how troubled someone is, or how bad their past has been, you have the power to give them the happily ever after they deserve.

I hope you all enjoy reading my books, as much as i enjoyed writing them. x

Although not a particularly long read, J.L. Perry still managed to give me everything I wanted. This was one of those books that I did not want to put down. I was riveted from the first to the last page. I love the genre of friends to lovers and this book was certainly that. Hanna is the younger sister of Harrison’s best friend Ethan. It feels like he has known her all his life and in truth he has lusted and fantasised over her since he was seventeen. In fact Ethan, his wife Michelle (I loved her) and Ethan’s family have always been there for Harrison. When circumstances bring Hanna to work in Harrison’s office, he has no idea of the turmoil that is about to launch itself in his life. If he thought wanting her from afar was difficult, what happens when she is with him constantly? Even more worrying is that it appears Hanna feels the same about him; will Harrison and Hanna give in to the attraction they both feel? This was a roller-coaster read as you could almost feel the angst and struggle that Harrison goes through trying to do the “right” thing by his friend. His loyalty to his friendship, a bond that saved him on numerous occasions from a truly sad childhood, is one that he doesn’t want to jeopardise. However, he doesn’t count on Hanna’s determination to explore the feelings that are so obviously shared. The chemistry between these two was magical and you just knew reading this story that these two are meant to be together. I will admit I would love to revisit this couple a few years down the track. Hint, hint Ms. Perry.

I'm not used to reading novellas by J.L. Perry and I did wonder how this would read I shouldn't have worried it was brilliant. Harrison has been in love with his best friends little sister for ever, what he didnt know was Hanna felt the same way but what happens when your best friend and her big brother finds out friends have turned to lovers..... This is a short story but it's full of action, it's a fun, sexy read that will have you wishing for a boss just like Harrison. J.L. Perry can now add a great novella to her other brilliant full size books.

JL Perry never disappoints me. You can never go wrong when you pick up a JL Perry book. This book is a lot shorter than what I’m used to by her, but it’s still so good. Lots of romance and a little bit of drama. Harrison had been best friends with Ethan for two decades. Harrison has a crush on Ethan’s little sister Hanna for a few years, but Hanna’s off limits. Hanna is home from college and becomes Harrison’s new assistant after he scared away yet another assistant. Hanna is the perfect assistant and they work great together. Harrison needs to make a business trip and Hanna accompanies him. That trip will change their lives. I loved Hanna and Harrison. The book is mostly told from Harrison’s point of view and I liked being in his head. It was clear that Harrison wants Hanna, but he doesn’t want to upset his best friend. He’s different with her than with other women. He wants to be a better man. When they become a couple, he would do anything to keep her. Harrison loves Hanna with all his heart. Hanna has wanted Harrison for many years, but she thinks that he doesn’t want her and she fights against her feelings. She eventually tells Harrison what she feels and she hopes he feels the same. She will fight for him and doesn’t give up easy. Hanna gets to know Harrison better and loves him even more at the end.
