The Boss of Her by Carolyn Faulkner

Trask Corporation had holdings all around the world that manager Annie Foster never expected t have anything to do with - much like she never expected to have anything to do with the its head honcho, one incredibly sexy Cole Trask, despite how he haunted her spanko dreams and fantasies. Little did she know that Trask himself had been biding his time, waiting not-so-patiently and watching her, wanting what she had but respecting the fact that she was married - if even unhappily. Until he found the perfect reason to involve her in a delicate little business maneuver he was planning - and he intended that it evolve into something much more than just a business trip, especially if she spent as much time over his lap as he figured she was going to!

About the Author

The words "spanking" and "discipline" have always sent a shiver up Carolyn Faulkner's spine.

She knows she's not alone.

Writing started as a way to explore her feelings. Soon short stories flowed from her pen featuring reluctant heroes taking the leading lady in hand, but always for her own good.

Today Carolyn is the author of dozens of books. She writes from her home in Maine, where she lives with her husband and leading man.

This story is a short, sweet romance with a few spankings thrown in. It is not what I expected from this author but enjoyed it anyway. Annie is having a difficult time financially and emotionally, dealing with divorce and a brother on the Spectrum. Her boss Cole decides he wants her, and of course, she has always wanted him. He deviously manipulates her into his arms and over his knee, she forgives him and the outcome is HEA.

I loved this! Cole Trask seems to be a very hard boss and I didn't like him very much at first, especially when he was so harsh on Annie initially. But I soon warmed to him as it became evident how perfect he was for Annie. Another awesome combination of great plot, lots of delicious spankings and the right amount of hotness from Carolyn Faulkner!

Annie is an exceptional employee, hard working, punctual, smart, organized and has been in love with her boss, Cole Trask, forever. Of course, she's never let him know that fact - not even when she separated from her husband and during the last portion of their divorce. Cole is a man that demands the best of everyone and is the sort of boss that you would love to work for. He may be demanding but he is always conscious of his employees needs and make sure that there is a balance in their work/home relationships. He is also a man that gets what he wants and what he wants is Annie. Despite her protests, he assures her that he will never have a problem spanking her if she puts herself down - she is both shocked and instantly feels like she has come home. This book tells of their beginnings and their explorations of a relationship that will include D/D - that is if Cole can get her to say 'Yes'. It was a short, sweet, romantic story that I'm sure you'll enjoy.

This was a sweet romance of two people who had loved each other from afar and who finally get together. Nice. I enjoyed it.

Annie has always fantasized about her boss, Cole. What she doesn't realize is that he wants her, too. So when her divorce is final, he creates a "business trip" for them to go on, where they get to know each other. She eventually finds out his motives, but they both fall in love and realize they are perfect for each other!

This is one of Carolyn Faulkner’s milder books.  There are spankings, but they are not as severe as they are in other books by this author.   Annie is getting divorced and her soon to be ex-husband is trying to take her to the cleaners.  Cole Trask is her boss and he wants Annie. He concocts a reason for him to get her a makeover so that others can see her as he does and take her with him on a trip so that he can get to know her better.  Of course, this involves spankings when she is being stubborn, but Annie was half in love with him before he started his campaign.  I give this story 4 stars.

The Transformation of Annie This story was originally published in May 2011 under the same name. It is a cross between the Ugly Duckling turning into the beautiful Swan and Cinderella. Annie Foster is great at her job, and totally dedicated.  She is going through a divorce and sinking in debt because of the care for an older autistic brother that is in a special needs facility.  She works at Trask Corporation owned by Cole Trask.  Annie's marriage was ho-hum, so the it ending is not a problem. She loves reading spanking erotica and has even writes stories with her fantasy man Cole starring in them. Cole is a dominate man, who has had feelings for Annie, but until she started her divorce, could not act on them. He fabricates an overseas trip that insist she must attend and this starts their relationship, with her over his knee for disobedience.  The story is fast pace, with multiple spankings and the sex scenes are not overly explicit.

I loved the suspense of whether they were going to end up together. Great romance story that the spanking started right from the beginning. The characters were easy to relate to and imagine yourself in the story line. The only flaw I can find is these stories always seem to end to quickly. This is definitely a book I could read again and not get bored.
