Henry Plummer¿s novel The Boy, Me, and the Cat is about an old fellow, his son, and his cat on a journey from Massachusetts to Miami, Florida on a small sailboat in 1912. The sail boat that they are traveling on is a twenty-four foot Cat Boat. The author is the old fellow who is on the boat and he wrote this novel like a diary with it all in nautical terms. People who especially like to sail will enjoy this book because it is written in a sailor¿s language that is unique by itself. In this novel the characters experience everything from queer looking seagulls to wrecking off the shore of North Carolina. They have daily adventures off shore and inshore all the way from Massachusetts to Miami. They stopped in every little town on the coast like Newport, Norfolk, Charleston, Savannah, Jacksonville, and St. Augustine. It is a great book to read if you are looking for an adventure on the sea.
