Jayce Cullen has been fighting her fear of thunder and lightning ever since she was a child, but nothing could have prepared her for the fury of her new husband. Feeling deceived and betrayed into a loveless marriage, Lord Reese Harrington wants nothing to do with his new wife. Trapped in a marriage with no escape, the beautiful young bride must battle the demons of her husband's past and hope that she can weather the storm his brutish behavior unleashes.

This is a medieval romance novella.

From the Author:
Hello everyone. Please note that The Bride and the Brute is a romance novella, so it is much shorter than a full length novel. It was written that way on purpose. It is meant to be a "short and sweet" read, as someone has described it, that you can finish in one sitting. If you prefer full length novels, please consider some of my other romance novels. This eBook does contain excerpts and full chapter previews of those books. Thanks for reading!

Loved Jayce and Reese's story. What I didn't like was that this story is only 217 pages out of the 547. The rest of the 330 pages were all excerpts of many books. I don't mind maybe 1 or 2 previews but 330 pages was a huge amount. Heck, it was longer than the book!

This was a free book and I did like the book. It had a really good story line. When I sarted reading I was suprised seeing that it was over 500 pages but after reading and seeing the story was ending and there were over 100 pages left I was a little disappointed. There were alot of previews of other books which I didn't want to get into reading.

It was choppy, and was rushed, and had an abrupt ending. I'm sure the writer had a good plan/outline but missed the potential the story could of had,, needed way more chapters, and then to find out the last 300 pages are samples of other books,, I felt robbed, glad I didn't pay for it.

Really annoying with over 100 pages being intros to other books of hers and a gallery of cover art. Story had a good build up but ended in a ridiculous fashion

Too short. Unbelievable ending and no epilogue. Skip this one.

If you are a fan of the Medieval time period and love romance novels, this is for you. It has a good blend of mystery and romance. I only wish it had been longer! Definitely check out Laurel O'Donnell full length novels

This was a good read. The story itself is a short story, but is really good. It is another that will stay in my library. Mistrust that leads to anger leads to discovery to at last love. The end of the story has a unique twist that could lead to another story. The excerpts at the end of the book have got me hooked into finding them.

This was a good story for all the other readers who complained about the extra pages maybe just dont read them and get over it . ..... wouldnt that be easier? Did u ever realize that it may not be up to the author but instead to the publishing company. Instead grade the author's complete work.

I liked this book but was disappointed with it being only 217 pages out of 547 listed. The rest was excerpts of other books the author has written. In fact they were more pages of them that the actual story. In spite of this it was a great love story and well worth the read.

I Loved it until the end. The ending leaves you wanting more and all you get is the end. It was like she wrote half a story and said i tired of it and said the end

This book caught my attention from the very first page! Once I started reading it I couldnt put it down. I wish that it didnt end so abruptly because I wanted to know what happend after everything was all said and done. (I dont want to spoil the ending for people) It was a wonderful read. :)

A very nice introduction to her style of writing. Would have made an excellent longer book. But it did leave me wanting to dive into her other books. Enjoyed.
