About the Author
Michael J Hands was born in the county town of Shrewsbury but at the age of sixteen he moved with his parents to the small town of Clun, which nestles in the hills in the beautiful Clun Valley close to the border between England and Wales. After serving in the Royal Air Force he lived in Australia and Essex and during his working life he had many jobs including a farm worker, smallholder, gamekeeper, insurance representative and bank manager before retiring back to Shropshire.
