About the Author

Douglas S. Santo is an engineering geologist, photographer, and author. He was founder, president, and CEO of Arroyo Geotechnical and has served as principal and vice president at three other consulting firms. He has photographed major architectural works ranging from the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels to private residential structures. His photographs have appeared in magazines, books, calendars, websites, and a variety of promotional materials for corporate clients of all sizes. He is the author of Three Days in Highgrade, the first book of the three volume Tom Comfort Series. The author is a third generation Californian, born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley, which he still calls home. He lives with his wife and four cats.
