About the Author
Fred A. Stutman, M.D. has done extensive research in exercise physiology, diet, and nutrition at the U.S. Naval Development Center and in private medical practice. As a medical officer in the U.S. Air Force, he established one of the nation's first walking programs for cardiac rehabilitation patients. He is the author of ten books and numerous medical articles on diet, nutrition, and exercise. His books have appeared in magazines and newspapers worldwide. He has appeared on national radio and TV, including the Today show and Good Morning America. He is currently practicing medicine as a Temple University Family Practice Physician in Philadelphia.
